According to aides that spoke to CNN, Tim Walz is having a hard time keeping his nerves under control for Tuesday's debate with JD Vance. Aides say Walz has expressed a lack of confidence in his ability to go up against a "trained lawyer-type" like Vance.
Walz is also feeling pressure that a bad performance will disappoint Kamala Harris who has already privately expressed frustrations with Walz's awkwardness and blunders on the campaign trail, such as referring to her as a "prostitutor."
Gwen Walz is angry that her husband is being put through the humiliation of debating Vance.
The joy is gone.

I give him high marks for that; it’s the only thing that he HAS gotten right.
Rumors are Vance can’t recall who he is running against and often confuses what office he is running for. If they can try to set an artificial low bar, why can’t we? Sad thing is, the allegations involving walz are believable, but no one expects republicans to run someone that stupid, so we have our work cut out for us.
Just trying to lower expectations.

Just like the other debate, the Dhim tries to lower the expectations so if Walz can say where he is, it’s already a win for him.
Honestly, though, I think Vance is better equipped to handle that than Trump was. He seems to be less likely to be triggered by personal attacks for example.
And less likely to make them.
I've seen him being interviewed by hostile Mediaites and he knows how to turn it around and keep on topic.
Vance doesn’t have to make fun of him.
All he has to do is bring up his record and expose his lies and hypocrisy.
The NEA would pull out all the stops to defeat that. They want the children stuck in sorry-ass schools, drugged up to the hilt and totally brainwashed into never leaving the plantation of Democratic control...............
Imagine, Keith Richards participating in a song lecturing about the use of drugs.
No one can beat Vance in debates.
Even if they have the questions and answers, ear plugs like Joey, and trains like Camola, or both most likely. And add the mud-erators.

It wasn’t all that difficult, thorough preparation was the key, to include inspecting the briefing room prior to each presentation. It’s obvious Walz is worried about the skeletons in his closet, and his episodes of Stolen Valor.
I looked forward to all of them, it was “Showtime” for me. Walz’s game is about to catch up with him.

A VP debate. Zero importance. Non zero risk.
