David Horowitz (Radical Son) recently turned 85 and marked the milestone in fine style:
I am touched by today’s tributes and only wish our great country could share my joys and satisfactions. Instead, it is besieged by the forces of darkness and hate with such ferocity and ignorance that it is unclear whether this free and generous land as we have known it will survive.
The [David Horowitz] Freedom Center is a unique institution with a unique mission. It was founded in 1988 by two ex-radicals who were alarmed by the way American conservatives and patriots underestimated the malice of their opponents whom they insisted on referring to as “liberals” even as it became more and more obvious that there was nothing liberal about them, beginning with their hatred for their country and willingness to betray it.
Unfortunately, there is much still to be done to restore faith in our Constitution and our people. The upcoming election will be an acid test of the strength of the destructive illusions of the Republican Party, whose leaders still refer to the anti-American, anti-white Democrat Party as merely corrupt, soft on crime, and wrong-headed liberals. But all is not the same as when Peter Collier and I launched the Center thirty years ago. Patriotic America now has a leader in Donald Trump who calls out anti-American Democrats as the fascists and communists they are...

He is a true American hero.
He fought ferociously for our side from deep in the belly of the university beasts.
Radical Son is one the best books you can read to understand the commie mentality.
Happy Birthday Mr. Horowitz!
"In practice, socialism didn't work. But socialism could never have worked because it is based on false premises about human psychology and society, and gross ignorance of human economy." David Horowitz
He really changed and mellowed as he aged. He and Peter Collier wrote some fine books. He became one of the quickest on his feet when challenged. Far more cerebral and less the verbal bomber he was in the late eighties and early nineties. He was always brilliant and never shied from a fight. I salute him.
Happy Birthday, David Horowitz.
I often state on this forum we need to welcome Leftists who have been mugged into the Conservative movement if they have indeed undergone an internal conversion.
He had a painful one that took him years, but he changed. Ronald Reagan was another, though he was no radical the way Horowitz was.
I think we should welcome Tulsi Gabbard into our movement. I believe she has had a conversion. And I used to be one of her biggest critics on this forum.
He’s a bright guy and has done a lot of good speaking out against the dangers of the leftist tyranny in America

He’s one of my favorites. I remember when he did live Q & A’s here on FR.
I highly recommend his book The Politics of Bad Faith to people who want to read Radical Son but can’t find the time. It’s like a condensed version of Radical Son.
Happy Birthday to David!
I am very grateful that I got to read Radical Son before our woke public library pulled it.
In fact, that is when I started thinking that our local leftard government was watching me. I was the last one to check out Radical Son and when I returned to the library, every Horowitz book post Radical Son had been destroyed. Books purchased by my tax dollars.
Happy Birthday David. You’re a great American and I’ve enjoyed hearing you and reading your material. God bless you....
Thank you David . A pioneer in understanding leftists. Happy Birthday.
