Story continues below advertisement The corrupt New York judge who is overseeing former President Donald Trump’s criminal case on Monday wrote that a Sept. 18 sentencing hearing for the former president will remain intact but made several scheduling decisions.
In a letter to Trump’s legal team and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, Judge Juan Merchan wrote that he will rule on the former president’s motion for the judge to recuse himself in the case on Monday, Aug. 11. So far, previous motions have been struck down by the judge and a state appeals court.
Merchan also told the parties that he will decide by Sept. 16 on a request submitted last week by Trump’s attorneys that certain social media posts made by the former president cited as evidence by prosecutors in the case should be covered by a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling finding that former presidents should enjoy immunity for their official acts. Where do you find “political parties”, “Presidential candidate”, or “running for President” in the Constitution?
Answer: You don’t.
Citizen Trump’s rights in Federal courts are just like yours and mine.
There is no direct route to ANY Federal court (never mind the USSC!) to appeal a jury conviction of a State crime.
And whatever happened to the notice that Merchan sent out to the lawyers about the Facebook post that the conviction was coming? It was important enough for Merchan to alert the lawyers, but not important enough to update anybody on what it was about or how it was resolved?

Please post a scenario by which a civil war could start over this.
Not how it makes you feel - what brings opposing armies into the field, each of sufficient strength to defend itself and of sufficient combat power to attain victory and to impose a new form of government.
I've posted before my opinion that nothing that is done to dispose of Trump - a clearly articulated and now demonstrated goal of the regime - nothing could divide the chain of command so as to allow opposing armies to form.
And, using J6 as a template (as many here have done) - if the J6 protesters had come armed, none of them would be in jail today - because they would all be dead.

Trump countenanced their Soviet show trial but enough is enough. You don’t submit to jail on fake charges and a fake trial. Trump should draw the line and stand for Law. Law is what it is, it is NOT what they say it is.

In light of the DOJ doing nothing concerning Leftist harassment and intimidation at their homes and the Trump assassination attempt, I hope they recognize the risk they face should come October it appears that Trump will win.
