76% of all personal income tax last month went to servicing the $34 trillion national debt.

How did we get here?

Two men: FDR and Richard Nixon.

Together, they broke the dollar. And put the American people into debt slavery.

$35 trillion really. We’re less than $3 billion from that mark.

And it’s like using 76% of your wages to make the MINIMUM payment on your credit card bill.

This is crazy territory.

Two men: FDR and Richard Nixon.

Talking presidents, important to have Wilson in the mix. Beyond that, JP Morgan/Rothschilds.

Lots of blame to go around. Past and present government leaders failed us to get where we are.

Roughly half of the $33T+ national debt was accumulated just during the last 10 years or so. Truly disgraceful.

And put the American people into debt slavery.

************

An crushing avalanche of debt is being heaped upon future generations but they say nothing about it. They don't seem to care, but they should be the ones caring the most. They are going to get stuck with it.

I think there is a bit of blame for the citizens who continue to elect these people based on what they can slop into the trough in front of us.

Would people be willing to cut everything 5-10%, across the board? And not just “liberal programs.”

Would people be willing to increase retirement age for military personnel?

How much of lifetime VA benefits should someone get for the four years they were in the military? (Obviously service-related stuff should be covered.)

There is too much trough slop that gets spread to both sides of the aisle.

It’s very easy to blame “the other guys” for the mess we are in. But this is not a new problem. We have been voting in these people for 100 years. And all of a sudden it’s a “crisis.”

Shame on us.

We the voters failed. Democracy gives us the right to elect scoundrels, and boy how we do.

Good post. Pls see my #8.

The reckless expansion of government continues apace regardless of which party is supposedly in power.

As our infrastructure crumbles, our debt soars and the border is left unsecured. But the government bureaucracies and MIC always get theirs.

Getting dangerously close to defaulting on that mountain of debt. A default wipes out the debt but in it’s wake a big chunk of the US and world will be too.
