MSNBC's Ali Vitali on Morning Joe: 'Sense of Despair' Hangs Over Democrats
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 07/13/2024 11:20:38 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

On today's Morning Joe, MSNBC reporter Ali Vitali twice used the d-word, for "despair," to describe the mood of congressional Democrats over the dilemma as to whether Biden should remain the nominee or step aside.

Vitali's very first words set the tone:

"I haven't talked to anyone who's a [Dem] staffer, who is an operative, who's an elected, who doesn't say some form of this sentence, "I love Joe Biden, but." . . . There was just a real sense on the Hill yesterday of despair."

Vitali sounded the d-word again in her closing comments:

"There is such a sense of despair that has been hanging over the Capitol as I've been working the halls the last few days."

Hate and evil always lead to despair.

Who say Biden is dropping out? Because the media Gods say it must happen, that means it must?

Go back and read the news articles from right after the debate. They were trying to will him to drop out by that weekend. 2 weeks have past and he is adamant that he is staying in.

Yet you and many others talk as though it’s a done deal....and “too convenient”. It blows my mind how everybody just bows down to the media and the “experts”.

“Did’ja hear did’ja hear did’ja hear?” No wonder they’re so arrogant, even though they wind up being wrong 90% of the time. The masses will keep nodding along with whatever gospel they’re presently shoving down our throats on any given week.

It’s his obligatory positioning himself as a card-carrying member of the Democratic party. Hear “twee, twee, twee.” Just meaningless syllables of sound.

Democrats also treat their base like crap - with all the lies and promises of reparations etc.. and all they do is keep as many blacks as possible dependent on the State. Which is them:

"Sorry, we couldn't get you money, but here's a nice big fat nonprofit for 'the community' run by a black democrat operative woman - - a non profit that doesn't do squat for the people of the black community. Or they get one more MLK community center or one more more street named after MLK... Garbage.

What has Biden done for the black community in the past four years? Nothing.

You can look at the black community and see that democrats haven't done anything in the past 30 years. There are other 'communities' within the democrat victim groups they do come through for - just NOT the black and brown base.

“Who say Biden is dropping out? Because the media Gods say it must happen, that means it must?”

I had a brilliant young political science professor in college who consulted to the military and intelligence agencies and he explained it like this:

“By the time the mass media starts attacking an incumbent Democratic president they are done. It is over. It may not happen immediately but it is certain.”

The reason for this is that the mass media does not initiate anything. They do what they are told.

The folks who do the “telling” operate DC like a wholly owned subsidiary.

Stay tuned, my FRiend.

Biden is going Bye Bye—could be days, could be weeks, but he is going to Be Done—one way or another.

These are weak-kneed, spineless Democrats, sort of like our Romneys and Murkowskis. They fold in the face of the slightest obstacles in life. The fact is, the race is still quite close, and the Democrat party has a well engineered ballot gathering machinery that can overcome polling disadvantages.

He was a means to gain power in 2020 and he is a way to hang on to power in 2024.

Exactly - the despair is over his sudden lack of utility, not any sentimental attachment to Scrappy Scranton Joe.

Recalling Democrat quotes about Ronald Reagan's supposed senility in 1987-88 is appropriate, here - and Reagan was in better shape back then than Joe was ten years ago.

Joe Biden is a “has been” that “never was”.
Can’t fathom the enthusiasm for this less than third tier politician.

They are feeling despair because they are realizing that their power and control are slipping from them.

They will no longer have control over much propaganda.

I wish Rush was here to enjoy this with us.
