Arizona State Penitentiary real popular? It was strange because it’s like 80% black people. What’s strange about that is that there are no black people in Arizona. I’m not lying. They bus mo—————s in. I was up there, and I looked at all the brothers… and it made my heart ache. You know… seeing all these beautiful black men in the joint. Every black person I know knows someone, has a family member, or has themselves been in Jail.

5% of the country (young black males) commit a majority of the crime. I was robed twice in my life- both were black males.

When I was in the AF, an acquaintance that was former service found himself in jail, for something trivial. A friend and I, on a lark, decided to go visit him. We got as far as looking in the little window of the visitor’s waiting room. Miami, circa 1983. Uh-uh....not going in there.
