Hell hath no fury like a self-important Hollywood celebrity embarrassed

This is really starting to become fun.

Today Vermont's Peter Welch (D) became the first US Senator to call for Joe Biden to end his bid for reelection.  Welch joins a growing democrat cacophony calling for Biden to get out of the way. democrats are deeply divided about Biden's future. Pelosi, Schumer and Nadler are behind Biden while many others have joined the call for his departure. Schumer is now apparently leaning the other way. But that wasn't even close to the best of the news. George Clooney penned an opinion piece in the NY Times calling for Biden to bail out.

"We are not going to win in November with this president," Clooney wrote. "On top of that, we won't win the House, and we're going to lose the Senate. This isn't only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and Congress member and governor who I've spoken with in private."
And then the "confession"
"It's devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe 'big F-ing deal' Biden of 2010," he wrote. "He wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate."
This comes three weeks after Clooney headed a star-studded celebrity fundraiser which generated $28 million for Biden. "Obama bro" Jon Favreau said he saw the same thing as Clooney.
"I remember my wife, Emily, turned to me after the fundraiser and said, ‘What are we going to do?’ And I said, ‘Well, there is a debate in a week. Either he’ll do well in the debate, and we'll think he was just tired because he flew all the way back from Europe, and that'll be that, or he'll be like this at the debate and then the whole country will be talking about it. So, here we are."
In his article Clooney wrote this disingenuous sentence:
Clooney wrote that Democrat Party leaders needed to stop trying to convince Americans they "didn't see what we just saw," and accused them of ignoring "warning signs" concerning Biden.
Didn't see what we just saw? Ignoring warning signs?

Shouldn't Clooney have said something immediately and not three weeks later when the excrement hit the fan? Didn't Clooney see Obama taking Biden by the hand and leading him off the stage? A whole lot of us have been writing as loud as we can that Biden is unfit for office for a long time. The White House wasted no time slapping back at Biden.

The Biden-Harris campaign clapped back at George Clooney after the actor called for President Joe Biden to be replaced as the Democratic Party’s nominee in a New York Times op-ed posted on Wednesday. The camp flexed that Biden stayed at the event three hours longer than Clooney and that the actor merely took a photo and dipped.

“The President stayed for over three hours, while Clooney took a photo quickly and left,” Biden’s team said in a statement to the New York Times. Biden’s campaign’s remarks are referring to the length of Clooney’s attendance at fundraiser the actor threw for the president a couple of weeks back on June 15 in Los Angeles.

What's going on here is Clooney trying to save his own ass. He's seen ire heaped upon Jeffrey Katzenberg, the Hollywood mogul has been accused of "age-washing" Biden.
Hollywood’s Democratic powerbrokers were in civil war over Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election bid Friday as his top fundraiser was accused of “agewashing” the embattled president.

A group of studio bosses, agents and billionaires more used to fighting over Oscars than politics was engaged in a feud, with vast amounts of cash for Biden and other Democrats on the line.

They pursued it by briefing, often anonymously, against their common enemy—Biden’s cheerleader Jeffrey Katzenberg, the former DreamWorks CEO and co-founder of the ill-fated Quibi. He had assumed the mantle of Biden’s fundraiser-in-chief with particular fervor. “Age is his superpower,” he was known for saying about Biden, drawing parallels to the enduring careers of octogenarians like Harrison Ford and Mick Jagger.

Katzenberg is now ducking them
Katzenberg’s legendary fundraisers, often star-studded affairs featuring the likes of George Clooney and Barbra Streisand, have pulled in millions for the campaign. When donors expressed anxiety over Biden’s rumored loss of attention, he would offer to put them in a room together to see for themselves.

Katzenberg has been silent since Biden’s catastrophic debate performance. Attempts to reach him were passed off to a Biden staffer who wrote back “It’s July fourth.”

He's not the only one. Dan Goldman could not run fast enough from a Fox News reporter and Nancy Pelosi dissed a black woman reporter who got under her skin.

The fact is that Biden, Biden's team, the left-wing Biden media whores, Hollywood celebrities and democrats have all been lying to America. It was Biden's own choice to have the debate that pulled the curtains back and proved that the emperor has no clothes.

I’m not sure if this is the speech plagiarized, but it has noteworthy quotes:

I think of the youngsters I meet. Three, four, five years out of school. Never had a job. And they say to me “Do you think we’ll ever work?”

They live in a free country, but they do not feel free.

I think of the 55-year-old woman I meet who is waiting to go into hospital, her whole existence clouded by pain.

She lives in a free country, but she does not feel free.

I think of the young couple, two years married, living in Mam and Dad’s front room because they can’t get a home. They ask “Will we ever get a home of our own?”

They are hyping Joe Biden‘s “big boy” news conference tonight because they know it is going to be a disaster, and they need another disaster to push him out the door. I don’t think they can move onto somebody like Newsom at this point. They are going to run with Kamala, and make it all about girl power and black power. The same old, stupid song, but they have no choice at this point the focus will be on house and senate seats. They’ve already lost the presidency.

“focus will be on house and senate seats”

Fighting now in Congress to send a middle-class income and property taxation cap constitutional amendments to the states would add the electors of several deep blue states to Trump’s total and make Congress turn deep red come November.

[perhaps]
Federal income taxation shall be capped as follows, on personal income:
below the average yearly apartment rent in the District of Columbia, 10%,
below the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 22%,
below the average employee compensation of the 100,000 best paid federal full-time civilian employees, 30%,
below the average employee compensation of the 10,000 best paid federal full-time civilian employees, 40%.

[Note: All percentages to include employee FICA. They would not fully include self-employment tax, so people that pay SE tax might choose to voluntarily invest in the SS system or otherwise arrange for their own retirement funding.]

[Anything that the IRS would as of January 1, 2024 legally be able to collect income tax on if provided to any person would be considered compensation.]

Taxation and levies on any residential property of less than 2799 square feet of finished space shall be no higher the 2019 dollar amounts on the property, or for a newer or since resold property what a similar property in the same area would have been taxed at for 2019 if it lacked owner specific tax breaks, increased by 3% per calendar year since 2019 and by any percentage increase to its finished living space.

Isn’t it funny how the same people who once said: “Don’t trust anyone over 35,” are now saying, “Age is his superpower”? I wonder what changed over the intervening 60 years...?

“Our president’s debate performance has been characterized in many ways; disappointing, upsetting, terrifying… but for me it was simply game-changing. So yes, let’s go with the bullpen please.”

“The checks give us access to power and it is power that is needed to persuade our pitcher to come out of the game.”
