Senior Biden campaign officials are quietly pushing Kamala Harris as the top choice to replace Joe Biden if he drops out of the 2024 presidential race.

White House reporters from Fox News, CBS, CNN, ABC, Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, Newsmax, and NBC on Tuesday repeatedly grilled Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline following his disastrous debate performance.
One reporter point blank asked KJP if Biden has “Alzheimer’s or any form of dementia.”

Vice President Kamala Harris is the top alternative to replace U.S. President Joe Biden if he decides not to continue his reelection campaign, according to seven senior sources at the Biden campaign, the White House and the Democratic National Committee with knowledge of current discussions on the topic.
Biden’s fumbling, sometimes-incoherent and widely-panned first-debate performance against Republican rival Donald Trump last week set off a wave of panic within the Democratic party over concerns that he may not be fit enough to serve a second term, and prompted calls for top aides to resign.
Some influential Democrats have floated alternatives to Biden besides Harris, including popular cabinet members and Democratic governors like Gavin Newsom from California, Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan and Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania. But trying to sidestep Harris is wishful thinking and would be nearly impossible, these sources, who did not wish to be named, said.
The media is priming the public to accept Kamala Harris as Biden’s replacement.
CBS News caught up with Kamala Harris outside of a Biden-Harris campaign fundraising event in McLean, Virginia on Tuesday evening.
The CBS reporter confronted Kamala Harris about Democrats calling for Joe Biden to drop out.
“Some Democrats are calling on Biden to drop out of the race. What’s your response?” CBS News asked Kamala Harris.
“Joe Biden is our nominee,” Kamala Harris said.
“Are you ready to lead the country if necessary?” CBS News asked.
Kamala Harris responded: “I am proud to be Joe Biden’s running mate.”
As of noon today, the Biden campaign says he is staying in the race.
Yes, exactly: the dismal Kamala has no chance. Drafting her gets her out of the way and ensures other, more attractive Dems are untainted by a nasty campaign and a certain loss to Trump. They’ll be ready to compete in 2028.
“Dr.” Jill will decide if/when The Big Guy gets out of the race. In consultation with that brilliant political strategist, Crackhead Bagman, of course.
I think she’ll take over for Biden (probably in the next few days) and thus get to be first female president, which will keep her happy.
I don’t think she’ll be the candidate, but if she is, Michelle Obama will be her running mate. The Obamas have been raising money for Kamala, so that means there’s something in it for them.
If she decides just to be happy with her few months as first woman president, then Michelle will be the candidate.

Keeping Brandon at the top of the ticket and pushing Kamala to the front as the one who would likely complete the four-year term might be the best thing that has happened for Trump. It would be a resounding reinforcement that this administration is totally, unquestionably incompetent and beyond hope.
Call me a dreamer, but what if, like Truman, kamala decided she wasn’t going to follow the swamp and media?

Ironic you should say that. Francis Ford Coppola has a winery in Napa. The Inglenook label fell on hard times, becoming a cheap jug wine, but years ago Coppola bought it and has been rehabilitating it. I was there in about 2005. In the tasting room he had a bunch of memorabilia from Apocalypse Now. All the wine snobs were horrified. He finally moved it out.
There’s “Inglenook” and “Niebaum-Coppola” near each other in Rutherford actually in Napa Valley. Then there is “Francis Ford Coppola” winery north of Napa Valley in Geyserville, CA. I used to know how all that fit together but I forgot.
Beautiful place, ugly people. I was glad I was able to enjoy it for a time before CA went completely to the dogs.
