Attorney General Merrick Garland has reportedly “classified at the highest level” the audio tapes of Joe Biden’s embarrassing interview with Special Counsel Hur. The tapes have been locked away in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), according to investigative journalist Paul Sperry.
Earlier this year, Washington Post reporter Matt Viser revealed that Special Counsel Robert Hur concluded that Joe Biden recklessly mishandled sensitive materials discovered at his home and former office.
Disturbingly, the investigation also uncovered that Biden shared government secrets with his ghostwriter, further underscoring his blatant disregard for national security.
Adding to this damning report, it was revealed that during interviews with the Special Counsel, Biden struggled to answer even basic questions, such as when he served as Vice President or the year his son Beau passed away from brain cancer.
However, the DOJ opted not to bring charges against Biden, citing concerns that a jury would deem him too mentally incompetent to stand trial.

While I don’t know about classification standards by the rest of the Executive Branch, I do know that under classification standards for the US Military, the classification of documents because of embarrassing information about individuals is forbidden.

Reference: Hur was appointed January 2023 by AG Garland to conduct the investigation of Biden into possible unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents at the U of Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement and in the garage of the Wilmington, Del private residence of Joe Biden, as well as several other places........all easily accessible to influence-peddler Hunter Biden.

The stuff these pricks get away with just sickens me. They just do it and don’t give a damn how it looks because they know they won’t be called on it.
What GOP? 90% of GOP officeholders work for the DOJ/DHS as paid or blackmailed operatives.
The one man in recent history who could have done this was Newt Gingrich in 1995 - he had the incoming majority and the public support to zero out the budgets of entire government agencies. The media spent weeks terrified that he was going to do it. But once he took office he immediately started "reaching across the aisle" and that was that.
Anyone who watches the long documentary JFK Revisited by Oliver Stone (5 hours and 58 minutes) (or reads the printed book version) will learn of at least three different cases of the DOJ or FBI “losing” or destroying vital records.
Transcripts of interviews, tape recordings. All the local TV news video footage. The original autopsy diagrams drawn and the report of the first medical examiners in the room.
All destroyed and admitted they destroyed it, or lied and said “lost” during storage.
This is what happens today only more so.
There are rules for security classifications. And one of the rules is that you CANNOT classify something to avoid embarrassment or to shield from Freedom of Information Act with no real reason.
But these guys do get away with a sickening amount of stuff.
My derivative classifier training clearly stated that material CANNOT be classified to spare individual or government agency embarrassment or to hide criminal activity. I think Garland needs refresher training.
