Colorado legal officials on Tuesday approved an agreement with Jenna Ellis, a onetime attorney for former President Donald Trump, barring her from practicing law in the state for three years after she pleaded guilty to helping Trump try to overturn the 2020 election.
Ellis tearfully pleaded guilty to felony charges of aiding and abetting false statements in Fulton County, Georgia, in October. She was one of 18 co-defendants of Trump who were charged in a sweeping case over the former president’s campaign to reverse President Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in Georgia.

Well Democrats are right, in a way. Trump is our dictator - we just believe he will do a far better job for us than any of their dictators. And they are rightly terrified of what might happen if their dictator loses control - somewhat irrationally, since Trump is a marshmallow compared to a Franco or a Pinochet who would actually reverse collectivist excesses at gunpoint.
The concept of electing representatives who will be responsive to what the American public wants is pretty far back in the rear view mirror. Now we just hope to find people willing to leave us alone.

My list doesn’t include conservatives getting fondled in a movie theater, or talking about Jewish space lasers, cops called because of disorderly conduct at their homes or wishing Elvis Happy Birthday on his death date or having alternative facts. My strong female conservatives don’t have that kind of baggage. Yours do. Baggage that if they were liberals be a reason why they shouldn’t be supported and even disqualified. Na, I don’t think so. But in my view, our system seems completely ok with pleading guilty whether you’re guilty or not.
I think I read that more cases are resolved via Alford, than actually resolve at trial.
I’d bet there’s also a sentencing penalty to resolving with Alford as opposed to lying to a judge about how sorry you are about a crime you didn’t commit.
