in 2021, we stopped at an "outdoor" winery tasting-room in the finger-lakes. They had to remove/open-up a wall to legally consider the space as "outdoor." A young woman was walking around with a basket of cheap wrapped cheese-crackers and individual packs of oreo cookies.
We told her - no thanks. We don't want any. She replied, cynically: "please take one anyway. We are a restaurant now and are serving you food..."
I nice catchy phrase would be good so that we can avoid a repeat in the future ...

He and his compliance gestapo sent undercover state employees to businesses around New York and had them report any and all non-compliance back to il figlio del sfaccimma (his father Mario, for you non-Bob Grant aficionados, was the original sfaccimma). Those businesses then were either heavily fined or had their licenses revoked. The rest of what I have to say is unprintable.
