Reporting from Western New York: gas price at my local gas station jumped $0.13 in the last 24 hours. I've never seen a hike that fast. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?
I already see gold prices shooting up. Is this gas price? Starting to catch up to it now?

And I’ve seen those nosebleed prices in the Sierra nevadas before. If this price jump holds followed by another it tells me something’s going on overseas and we don’t know about yet

Here it’ll jump 30-40 cents at every station in four counties within a couple of hours, then gradually drift back down over the next couple of weeks, then repeat.
That doesn’t seem to bad to me. Up where I live, prices can go up and down 3 cents/litre all the time.

About a buck in NV in the last month or so.
It was $3.79 for regular for a long time here in northwest Indiana, then up to $3.89 last week then $3.99 yesterday. I haven’t been out today to see if it has gone up more.
I’ve seen it jump from $2.79.9 to $3.38.9 in maybe 6 weeks here in the Midwest

I just filled up two days ago here in central New York State. I didn’t even look at the price. I know that the amount usually goes up as the weekend approaches, but never bothered to keep track. I’m fortunate that I’m retired, and don’t have to drive to a job every day. My niece and her husband have two family vans. Both drive in from Ontario, NY to Rochester every day, and then back again. Plus they’re regularly heading out of State for soccer tournaments for one of their twin girls. They are heading to North Carolina next Tuesday for 6 days. I’m sure their gas costs are exorbitant.
Prices are up something like 20% since January-
the oil traders have been expecting wider escalation in the ME or further destruction of Russian production or something else for a few months now.

Buffalo Area. Haven’t checked the rez prices but they are usually $0.20 below regular price .
ours went up about sixty cents per gallon in the last month
