CNN legal analyst Michael Moore on Friday cast doubt on Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ Thursday testimony in which she claimed she always reimbursed her romantic partner with cash.
Willis testified during a hearing on whether she should be disqualified from her election interference case against former President Donald Trump for improperly benefiting financially from appointing special prosecutor Nathan Wade to the case. They both asserted Willis reimbursed Wade with cash for their vacations and outings, so there was no record of it, which Moore described as “convenient” on “CNN This Morning.”
Moore criticized both the defense lawyers and Willis for their performances during Thursday’s hearing.
“I think there were things they could have been pushed a lot harder on and maybe … delved into specifics a little bit more, especially when [we] start talking about things as nebulous as cash payments and there‘s no way to track it,” Moore said about the questioning. “And how much cash was paid? What, did you really just pay for the $150 to negotiate the taxi or … what did you do with the $4,000 you took? I think they could have pushed that.”
“I also thought that it just was not credible. It reminded me of watching a criminal defendant take the stand. They don‘t have to do that. You see it and you can tell that the defendant thinks that they‘re smarter than every lawyer in the room. And it just becomes a train wreck. And so that‘s sort of how I felt, this just went off the track,” he said about the testimony.
Wade testified he has only one receipt showing Willis reimbursed him for travel expenses because she always paid him in cash. Willis later asserted she “always” has cash at her residence, claiming it is a habit her father instilled in her.
“I have a hard time just thinking about a DA paying everything in cash, nothing wrong with cash, but it‘s convenient right now … Her indignation would have seemed a lot more sincere had she come out about two months ago. But remember, even as she is there saying she wants to get to the truth and she‘s shaking the documents and the court filings around in front of everybody, her office is fighting everything. They’re fighting every witness subpoena. They don‘t want the records to come in, she‘s refusing to let bank records and other things come in. They‘re hiding behind the privilege from [Wade’s] divorce lawyer who they‘re claiming was a friend, but maybe a divorce lawyer, so we really shouldn’t have to say anything.”
Willis erupted in rage during the hearing, prompting Judge Scott McAfee to call a five-minute break. She faced questions on whether Wade visited her residence and suddenly burst into anger, holding up documents as examples to prove that the allegations were false.
When she testified she had 6 months worth of living expenses in CASH at her house, the Sheriff should have got a warrant and raided her house for suspicion of Drug Dealing and SEIZED THE CASH, Just like they would do for EVERYONE ELSE.
Playing the "black woman" privilege card.
Willis insisted she never visited the Biden White House before filing charges involving Trump ...
but there are official White House visitor’s logs and multiple media sources confirming that she
visited Biden several times for several hours with Wade before filing charges against Trump.
The angry, aggressive, wildly gesticulating Fani in court was fighting for her political life.
But not a political life in backwater Georgia.
When she got the Trump case, her political dreams grew exponentially.
She even hired a PR firm to gauge her visibility and rate
her bona fides for crashing into the political “big time.”
She started losing weight and hired a photographer
to shoot her, posing w/ money-hungry political gravitas
written all over her ambitious ghetto-nurtured face.
But the Wade case stepped in the way of her political
ascent....and she’s desperately trying to make it all go away.
You must not know much about Fulton County. Lol!
Fani and Wade are playing the “innocent until proven guilty” approach, unfortunately for them, this hearing is just to see if there is an appearance of impropriety. This approach may help in their criminal trial if that ever happens, but not this one.—— just my non-lawyer thoughts.
What do YOU RB think?
Does fani get disqualified? 🤔
Her picture is in the dictionary next to the word ‘flake’
They will have to.
And Wade as well.
Because if they don’t, any negative results from the Trump trial will be appealed on these grounds.
The Judge will have to disqualify both of them and the DA’s office will have to start over from scratch................
No she does not get disqualified......
ORANGE MAN BAD....HAVE TO GET HIM.... DEMOCRATS HAVE A MISSION..

The point is taking vacations together...period.
And let's talk about hormones...they rarely...out of the blue....activate after you've known someone for two years...And this wasn't a love relationship...it was a "sex" relationship.
Would like to know more about Wade's divorce. Despite what some say...the wife is NOT the last to know.
Exclusively relying on cash transactions to hide theft or money laundering is so common that it’s cliché.
Fatti Wallets.
I don’t understand the expenses paid by Wade that were then supposedly reimbursed with cash. What would be the reason for this?
Was Wade on a government expense account or something? And if she supposedly reimbursed him in cash then where did the cash go?
Well, she SHOULD have looked in the mirror and seen the back of her back end in that dress yesterday!! WEIRD!
>>>>>And if she supposedly reimbursed him in cash then where did the cash go?<<<<<
Nowhere, because it didn’t exist................
She actually said yesterday that she had NO CHECKS!! I assume that meant NO CHECKING ACCOUNT!
He said that money probably went to his children!!
