I'm hearing a lot of chatter tonight that the Ukrainian position in Avdeevka has all but collapsed. Evidently the air defense base anchoring their southern defenses was flanked and rapidly overrun, with the Russian flag planted on it. I'm also hearing: The Neo-Nazi Azov brigade (disingenuously referred to simply as the 3rd Brigade in Washington/MSM propaganda today) was sent to bolster Ukrainian defenses on the flanks while troops in forward positions retreated, but they were caught in the open field, massacred, and are refusing to follow orders. This would help explain the general collapse scenario.
Maybe it is not so bad for Washington's forces (ala Tolkien's line "he that flees counts every foe twice"), but it appears a slow retreat is turning into a route, with retreating troops being bombed heavily in the open before they can get a fair distance into "safe" territory.
What are other people hearing? There is not a blip out of the MSM, of course.

Also spelled Avdiivka, and various other spellings and mispellings. It’s the town that Ukraine has used to shelled Donetsk and inflicted large numbers of civilian casualties for years, making it a priority target of late in the war in Ukraine.

I’m thinking that the Kiev government knows that a condition for having serious talks with Russia is dealing with their Nazi Infestation, so perhaps this is how they’re trying to do so - send them into the arms and/or guns of the Russians.
The city has been cut in half with the Uke force of 3500 in the southern part of the city tactically surrounded. Some will be able to run the murderous artillery, drone and aerial bombing gauntlet to escape. Most won’t. The 4500 in the north should be skedaddling before they suffer the same fate. Have you heard rumors of the Azov Brigade refusing to deploy to Avdiivka?
One comment I ran across suggested the Azov neo-Nazis were preparing a coup to toss Zelenski and put the recently ousted general back in power (I know that’s not how you spell Z, but Slavic spelling is an exercise in futility for me.) So it would make sense to throw them under the bus in the fields outside of Avdeevka to forestall such a scheme.
There’s still another 20 million Ukrainians for the NeoCons to sacrifice for their inbred psychosis.
