One issue on which the historical assessment is almost unanimously in favour of the ‘Palestinian’ side is undoubtedly that of the Arab-Israeli conflict. The very few publications that offer a more cautious or at least neutral assessment of the Israeli camp come mainly from Jewish or Israeli authors. What was lacking was a counter-cultural and therefore courageous, well-documented, yet fluent and not infrequently ironic vade mecum on a very complex subject, written by someone who is not a party to the conflict.
The reader will be surprised to learn that the term “Palestinian”, as opposed to “Israeli” or “Jewish”, was only “invented” in the 1960s by Arafat’s PLO; that Jewish “immigrants” did not “steal” land in these areas, but regularly bought it from Arab owners, at very high prices; that Israel has always fought defensive wars only after Arab attacks or provocations; that the problem of Palestinian refugees is entirely the fault of their leaders, who since 1947 have incited, if not threatened, their population to leave these territories; that subsequently, in a blatantly racist manner, no Arab country has wanted to take them in; that the alleged ‘occupation’ of the ‘disputed’ territories by Israel is a lie; that instead Israel has acted in accordance with international rules, repeatedly withdrawing from them in favour of the Palestinians and asking only for peace in return.
The author denounces how it is considered Israel’s fault that it only wants to defend itself against Palestinian terrorism, obeying all the supranational rules on “proportionate” response, and the defensive barrier, wrongly called a “wall”, which for about 90% of its length is not such.

Traditionally, the major media outlets get their news from Hamas and Hezbollah, who lie incessantly about Israel. Every time there is a conflict I’ve seen them roll out the same old propaganda that Israel is an apartheid state and the poor “Palestinians” are just victims on land stolen from them. In truth, they are not from there. Arafat was an Egyptian like many of them, while the rest are from Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, etc. No other country will have them because all they know how to do is attack their neighbors.

Actually, the name of the Roman province Of Judea was changed to Palestina by the Emperor Hadrian in the second century as punishment for revolting. The name was derived from Philistine, Israel’s ancient, extinct enemy. Its use is, and was intended to be, and remains, an insult to Jews.
Who is known from eternity as the great deceiver and who are his followers? We are witnessing the eternal battle between good and evil that has and is playing out before our eyes. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear the vitriol of Allah knows full well what is going on. Living with the evil of Allah is akin to living with the evil of the possessed Left. Though you try to escape evil, it comes after you, taunts you, and in the worst case tries to kill you. The Lord said as much - in the final days you will be persecuted for my name’s sake.
Israel may have dominated Hamas militarily in all of this, but when it comes to the battle of public opinion, Hamas has won an astounding moral victory, thus far, mainly courtesy of their official water-carriers in western media and academia.
Open and blatant calls to wipe out Israel are no longer shocking or taboo as they were even a couple of years ago. Now they have gone mainstream-trendy, especially amongst the younger (Millennial and onward) generations.
When I see younger people bandying around terms such as “Final Solution for the Israel Problem” without so much as a HINT of irony, well...
