LOL!! If anyone's a self-serving politician, it's DeSantis. He used his party's majority in the State Legislature to get the Resign-to-Run law changed so he could campaign, keep his job, and continue to get a paycheck. He signed the new law on the day he announced his Presidential run. The only other Florida Governor that changed that law was Republican Charlie Crist, who is now a registered Democrat. He had the law changed because he thought he was on the short list to be McCain's VP. When it didn't happen, he didn't bother to change the law back before he left office. When Rick Scott became Governor, he had the law changed back to its original state. Then DeSantis came along and did a Charlie Crist. It doesn't matter what party a politician is in, when he uses his party's majority to change laws to benefit himself politically, and monetarily...that's being a self-serving politician.

As Governor, he also got parts of Florida's Sunshine Laws changed, so that all of his past, present, and future travels, who he meets with, etc., would be withheld from public scrutiny. Another self-serving act..

Actually, DeSantis nailed it. Trump does put himself above everything. Just tonight, he told people he doesn’t care if they’re sick or even die voting for him in the bad weather tomorrow, so long as they go vote for him.
