On January 12, 1949, Margaret Allen was executed by Albert Pierrepoint at Strangeways Gaol. She was the first woman hanged there since Charlotte Bryant in 1936.
41-year-old Margaret had beaten to death an elderly neighbor, Nancy Ellen Chadwick, on August 21, 1948, after Nancy stopped by Margaret’s cottage at 137 Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, Lancashire. Several hours later, she dragged the body outside and left it in the road, almost literally right on her doorstep.

Since her early twenties, she had habitually worn men’s clothing and said she wanted to be a man. It was onstage but not here in the US but in Turkey on a tv show.

Something about the manner in which this story was told, left me confused as to who exactly was being stalked into their home and who killed whom? I now conclude the Trans woman was killed by somebody who just felt like it at the time, but it was not clear.

Back in the day in other cultures in East/ West Europe including some Asian countries

e child , a barely prepubescent child eould don the attire, mannerisms, attitude, etc of a man PERMANENTLY to keep the wolves away from the door.
There are many examples of this & feel free to look them up.
