Another example of the inability of Democrats to condemn bigotry

This column today might sound familiar, as I have reported similar examples numerous times before (See previous essays here, here, here, here, and here). Yet, it is important to document the inability of the modern Democratic Party to unequivocally condemn bigotry, because so much of its base and membership are actually are in favor of such things.

Yesterday the House passed a resolution condemning the horrible rise of anti-Semitism seen nationwide and globally, mostly expressed during pro-Hamas demonstrations that have often descended into violence and calls for the murder of all Jews in Israel.

The resolution [pdf] is quite clear. After listing numerous examples of harrassment and violence against Jews in the U.S., Australia, Israel, and globally, it condemned such behavior, and made it clear that the term “anti-Zionism” is simply a euphemism for anti-Semitism.

The final vote totals are shown in the screen capture to the right, taken from C-SPAN. As you can see, except for one nay vote and four not voting at all, the entire Republican caucus voted in favor of this resolution.

The Democrats however were not so unanimous. While a little less than half of the Democrats in the House voted in support of this amazingly simple resolution, half voted “present”....

By voting present the Democrats prove that when the real battle against tyrants needs to be fought, they will either run like hell in fear or eagerly join up with tyrants. And we know many Democrats are eager to join tyrants and bigots by the thirteen Democrats not afraid to publicly oppose this resolution.

In America 2.0, islamo-terrorist hatred bad, Jew hatred good.

Don’t believe that Democrats actually ascribe to the principles they claim they do. They have a leftist agenda, and that’s it. Anything else is only a means to achieve their goals.

I agree that the Marxist agenda subsumes every thought, word and deed of the hard core leftist, but the truly hard core is a small minority of the American left. They are surrounded by millions of what is generically referred to as the useful idiots, typified by young adults who can’t tell who attacked Pearl Harbor, or even where Pearl Harbor is located. Dietrich Bonhoeffer instructs us that the real harm we should fear is not from evil, but stupidity. The Dunning-Kruger effect has overwhelmed our campuses, government and media. It will take someone wiser than me to find the antidote to this phenomenon.

It’s not complicated. Democrats and the left like dividing into groups. It’s the nature of collectivism vs individualism.

So they like some groups and dislike others. They will protect some groups to the hilt, and let others be demonized.

They say they don’t like hierarchies but at the same time they love them.

Hispanics above blacks, women above hispanics, transgenders above women, etc.

And their intersectionality gets confusing and hypocritical but they don’t care. They’ll just change gears and press on.

But Jews are not even in their list.
