Anyone know what happened to Upchuck? He hasn't posted since 8-17-2023. He does the South Carolina ping list. I'm not sure who else may have been involved in handling the ping list, but the last "SC ping" I see is on 8-16-2023.
I can't believe I've been too busy to notice this before now! Gosh, time flies!
Also, I see Upchuck's FR home page shows: "This account has been banned or suspended." What the heck?!?!
First HumbleGunner, now Upchuck. Who's next?

I think we have also lost MinuteGal somehow, somewhere. I communicated with her sister, flaglady47, back in August and she said that MinuteGal was relocating from her old digs and should be back on line soon. Alas, she is still 'silent'.

As a new South Carolina resident, I really loved his posts and SC ping list.
I really thought I had corresponded with upchuck and then talked personally with him. But alas, it was someone else in SC. So I am sorry to say I will not be able to help.
I keep wondering what happened to him. Really miss his ping list as I'm a new resident of South Carolina.

We brought another couple with us from Connecticut (they bought a house around the block from us). They only vote for conservatives as well. As do just about all of our neighbors, who are refugees from Blue States. They say the #1 reason they left NY, NJ, CT, CA, etc. is "Politics".
Can't wait to vote in the February 24th primary! :-)

I got to spend a week in New Haven as a tennis volunteer at a tournament in 2018. I loved Connecticut and the people I met!
Just about everyone there was talking about wanting to move however, because of taxes.
Sadly, New Haven lost the tennis tournament (on the Yale Campus) when the state became insolvent.
Hope you really enjoy SC. If you can stand the August heat, you will be fine here.
Yeah, there's a lot of good in Connecticut. Much of it is absolutely beautiful (although not so much in winter). What's not beautiful are the a-hole leftist politicians -- and the idiots who vote for them -- that have been making life in CT impossible for decent, non super wealthy people there.

Yup, just about everyone we know has moved out of Connecticut because of ridiculously high taxes and high cost of living. The vast majority of the people we know who stayed behind in Connecticut are liberals.

Thanks! Love our area in Lowcountry (Bluffton). We've already been here during August a few times... yeesh! Like our neighbors, we plan to do a fair amount of traveling to cooler climes during August, LOL.
