Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

Sounds like lots of fun. DP and I went to the Asian grocery store. I got Vlad some durian-flavored snacks for Christmas.
I got an early Christmas present from my bathroom scale, I now weigh less that 220 lbs, first time since college!
Flavored, not scented?
Nothing. It’s on the house!
You’re lucky I even remember the riddle.
I didn’t when my kid pulled it on me.
Flavored, according to the package.
Congratulations!
I hope somebody's warned Tim.
Consider yourself warned...
I was just finishing making the bed this morning when the doorbell rang. It was Tricia, her daughter-in-law and the precious little grandbaby with startling green eyes. She doesn’t have much hair so a a Christmasy bow was put on her head.
Tricia came to give me a little bag of some tasty homemade candy and a tiny little crocheted snowflake. What a treat!
Then, after lunch, I went to see Chuck, and while I was there he told me the repair guy for the stove would be here “between 3:15 and 5:30” and told me he was sorry to keep me up past my bedtime.
He no sooner got that sentence out of his mouth when his phone rang. The guy was coming sooner, so I told Chuck I would go clean the stuff off the stove in case the guy had to move it. He did.
It looks as though it needs a new thermostat, and that will take a week, at least, but the guy (and Chuck) were here for almost 90 minutes. Unngh. They moved my little table and since it had been damaged in the move (local teen bros at their worst) it pretty much fell apart when they didn’t pay attention to the fact that the leaf was held up by a broken swivel “leg.”
Of course, I had to rassel with it by myself when they left and that means that I will have to try and glue it all in place between now and the time the oven repair guy comes back.
There is other good news, and that is that the seals on my fridge and freezer doors will be replaced, too, as Chuck saw they were as bad as I had told him.
It was an eventful day, as my days go, and I just realized it plumb tuckered me owt!!
We’re not allowed to say “Fire at will,” either.
That was eventful, but you’ll get the home improvements, at least.
The next thing that needs to happen is the light over the kitchen sink needs to be replaced. Not just the bulb. The entire fixture. I tried to cut him some slack and tell him it wasn’t fair that my repair/replacement needs come before others who have been waiting longer, but in reality, they are all things that SHOULD have been done before I ever moved in.
He had almost six weeks to get it all done, and I reported them to him well before the 30-day time period had elapsed. So I don’t think I’ll be taking any prisoners, this time around!
I hope you have a good night!
All the stuff should be done for everyone. If Chuck can’t do it because of his age and health, they need to hire more people.
Good morning. Happy Friday Eve!
This is a good morning to lie in bed with the kitteh. But things have to be done. I’m not sure what all of them are but they’re stressing Mrs. ArGee. She’s always stressed this time of year. I think she likes all the Christmas-y things she does but she doesn’t like doing them and there’s nobody here to help but me - but I’m not allowed in the kitchen.
We’ll be past it soon enough I guess.
Here’s today’s Wordle.

What a sweet cali!
Good morning. Did you sleep well? With no Interruptions by Jake? Or anyone else for that matter?
My sleep was restless, but that’s OK. It might be better tonight.
I’m going to finish up some presents today and tomorrow I’ll make the Christmas cake. Or vice-versa. I’m glad I have an oven thermometer!
