Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

I suppose.
The mostly pretty day turned ugly and cold and suddenly we have T-storms.
Ah, well. I’m going to fix Chip’s food, then mine, and then off to bed I go. Tomorrow will be a good day, as was today!
Have a good night everyone!
We had another thunderstorm here while I was on the way to choir, but now it’s clear.
They weren’t crying in the dream.
The name change was brought up in our Troop Committee meeting on Wednesday. The Scoutmaster thought “Scouts USA” would have been better, and I agree, unless the quondam BSA is merging with Mexico and Canada.
The T-storms lasted about an hour, then when on, probably dying out over Colorado, but they weren’t severe, so....
I woke up just before 0400, and figured I may as well get up. Maybe I’ll take a nap after I have a shower. Right now, I’m going to write to Charlie.
Another vision of Chip last night! But he’s still not comfortable staying around me for long, and that’s OK. He’s getting used to me, and he may never let me touch him, but that’s OK too. Whatever he wants! He’s safe and doesn’t have to share.
Good morning. Finally. It took me a while!
I hope you had a good night.
The shower has been had, and I’ve written a letter to Charlie, and thought about trying to take a nap, but then decided it would really squash my hair, and I don’t want to do that!
It’s getting light out, but with so many mesas around here, it will be two hours yet before the sun is “up.”
I forgot to ask what time my ride is picking me up, but it will probably be around 0930. That will be good! I’ll text her in a while.
Carissa came by yesterday and said she was going today and if I had known that I would have ridden with her. And Annette sent a text last night saying she would be there after all, and I thanked her for letting me know. I expect this from her, now, sadly. But it’s OK, because I’ve had to cancel lots of things at the last minute over the years.
Otherwise, it will be a normal Saturday! Ha-ha.
I hope everything goes excellently on the trip!
Thanks! My ride is panicking...but we’ll make it!
I had a 5 on 1,055 and a 4 on 1,056...
Better luck today:

We have had a ton of T-storms this Spring... last one had some pretty big hail as well.... 18.48” of rain since April 1st... 😮
Good to hear that Chip is getting more used to his new home... and enjoying his meals, that he doesn’t have to share with others!
Thanks! I guess the key is just leaving him alone, and that’s fine.
I can do that until Heck freezes over! I just want him to know he’s loved and that he does NOT have to share anything with any other cat EVER! He’s a little sweetie, is what he is!
More T-storms today, but compared to AR, they’re mild!
We had a clear and cool - mid-70s - day.
On The Hunt Kitty!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night.
I think I’ve figured out the real reason Chip has been so accessible lately. There is a little red and white catnip toy, with feathers on each end that somehow gets kicked around the floor by “people.” Each time Chip was in his classic cat position, it was next to that toy. Guarding it? As in, keeping it safe from other kitties? Making sure it’s still his and no one has played with it?
What a sad life he’s had if that’s what he’s doing. But it seems logical when I think of where the toy was and where he was. He doesn’t play with his toys, but just “has” them. He has a little catnip something-toy in his tent, and I’ve thought of putting this little red one, in, too. But I think I’ll just place it randomly on the floor a few times to see what he does.
FS’s F-i-L came yesterday, and that was nice. I haven’t seen him since his birthday celebration in November, before Carol died. He gave me the nicest hug! He said there was a golf tournament at Bloomington, or he would have been out on the links! LOL!
It’s 47° right now, but will be a luscious 87 later today, and an even more tasty 90° tomorrow.
We had T-storms again last evening. It’s acting more like the monsoon season that spring, but it’s OK...they don’t last long!
I was up for over three hours in the middle of the night. I think it’s the pain that wakes me up, darnit. I need to keep some pain pills in the bedroom.
I have the feeling that Mr. Chip is already living a wonderful new life, yet the best is yet to come!
