Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

Off to the shower!
I haven’t decided yet. It’s 203 more, which is a lot of mornings. But if we start another Wordle Golf game, I’ll play.
Good morning. I’ve already been to the dermatologist. They said my skin is fine, come back in a year.
Jake was in the bedroom for a while last night, but then he decided to leave. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how quickly Chip calms down in your apartment, with only one person and no other animals. He won’t be able to resist exploring.
It might rain here later. Kathleen has a campout this weekend - the girl Boy Scouts are taking the van - and Frank is going to an overnight event at the church of some friends from Envirothon.
Haha! Nice trick!
Unless there is a hole in the dust cover on the box springs, Chip has learned the fine art of disappearing into thin air.
I can’t find him anywhere this morning.
No sign of him using the litter box or eating anything. So I’ll put fresh food out for him and see what happens when I get back from Walmart.
The building Chip was housed in had lots and lots of cats, and no less than five people, and I’m thinking it was more like six. So if he was frightened by the commotion, he’ll do just fine here.
I need to get the stereo hooked up when I get back so that when I do have to leave, like church or medical appointments, he’ll have some company. I used to leave it on for Tokyo Rose when I went to work, and she was always waiting at the door for me when I got home.
Or I could subscribe to CatChannel...LOL! Yes, it’s a real thing! As Annette said yesterday, “Oh my heck! I never knew there was such a thing!” So she’ll probably subscribe for her three cats.
I’m glad your trip to the dermatologist went well. And it’s nice to know I’m not the only one who like early appointments!
It’s still windy out, and I’m not looking forward to heading to Walmart, but I’ll feel much better when I get new tires on The Raisin! I knew they were bad, but I didn’t know how to look for the date.
I hope it doesn’t rain on the girl Boy Scouts this weekend, and that Frank enjoys his sleepover.
I didn’t know people went to Walmart to get tired.
Up here I go to Monro, but that’s because one of Mrs. ArGee’s friends is the wife of one of their mechanics. He retired once, but they got him to come back part time because he is so good.
I used to go to Pep Boys, but they’re not even a thing out here in the boonies.
I’d rather have Casey’s do the tires, but they’re too expensive, being a small business and all that.
My mom’s cat Polly liked CNBC.
We’ve had cats get into the box springs.
I took the flashlight and checked, and he’s not in the box springs.
He’s small enough that he could very well be in the bedroom closet and I’d never find him because of the things that are in the way of me seeing him. I don’t think they’re all flush against the inside wall, so he could have the perfect bolt hole and I’d have to pull all the containers out in order to find him.
That’s OK. If he needs to be there in order to recuperate, then he can stay there. I’ll know if he’s been out to eat and use the litter box, so we’ll just make friends on his time. Poor little guy. I don’t think he was happy at the shelter.
I had the TV on for a while yesterday, and it seemed to get his attention, but it was fleeting. And I’ve got to run!
What a cute kitty!
I hope Chip reappears soon. Poor little guy. :(
Good Friday Morning!
Another miss on the heavy rain forecast from last night into the morning... a few passing light showers showed up this morning...
I got the 1,000 Wordle in four to no fanfare...
Wordle 1,000 🎉 4/6*

Apparently it was my 783rd game...
Wow, looks like an amazing place! I had no idea that such places existed...
I would play another round... not sure if there is any interest other than the two of us... 🤷🏽♂️
Apparently cats play with computers.
This links to twitter. Unless you’re just theologically opposed to a twitter link, this is good for a laugh.

I’m on the waiting list for a puppy... Expensive one though... Possibly next year.
While I was getting new tires put on the Raisin, I read the protocol on Chip.
He’s two years younger than I thought, but:
He’s from Scottsdale, AZ
He weighs about 5-6 pounds
He’s had a lot of dental work and is missing quite a few teeth
He’s been in the shelter since 2021
Before he was in the shelter, he was feral
I understand now why he doesn’t want to be found, and I also understand why he is so small. His teeth must have hurt him terribly as a feral when he was growing up, so that what little nourishment he got just wasn’t enough.
The quiet here will give him time to rest and recuperate from being in all the frenzied activity of the shelter, its multitude of cats and the constant coming and going of people.
I’ll have to write to them and let them know that he has all the time in the world to adjust and be the kitteh he was supposed to be all along. I’ve rescued him from the rescuers!
