Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

My son needs his CPAP as well. Otherwise, well... you probably know all about that!

Back from the DMV. The Raisin is legal!! Now all I have to do is get this orthopedic shoe consigned to the trash heap, and I’ll be unstoppable!

I celebrated with some cheese curds. ;o]

Can’t do that yet! I have to wait for the swelling in my foot to go down a little more so my shoe will fit, and then I can drive.

I’m just glad it’s there when and if I need it! It needs a new front bumper, but I’ll look into that next week. The one that’s on there is for a winch, and I don’t need the winch, so the bumper needs to go.

Baby steps for now!

I’m sure it’s exciting to finally be auto-mobile again.

What kind of vehicle is the Raisin?

I’ve never really named cars, except when our 3/4 ton van was hit and the insurance company gave me enough money for a white Geo Metro my son dubbed it the Marshmallow.

We also decided we should buy one to keep in the back of the van as a spare. Who needs a spare tire when you can have a spare car? But we never followed through.

I know this one well. I’ve had a lot where there were plenty of options with the letters I knew, the letters I hadn’t eliminated, and the words that hadn’t won yet. I usually guess the correct word last.

And you describe about every hole I’ve ever played at a mini-golf course.

The Raisin (which my son named when he saw the first picture of it before I bought it) is a Chevy Geo tracker, 2002. It’s a 4-door, and is a 5-speed manual, with 4-WD. I don’t know that I’ll ever need the 4-WD, but in this climate, I’d rather be safe than sorry.

It was the seat height that was the most important of all the features, as I knew from the smaller Tracker I had that it was just easier for me to get in and out of, what with my arthritic spine. (It’s been arthritic since the age of 17, and that’s no joke, because “teenagers didn’t have arthritis.”)

I keep waiting for a warmer day so I can go out and adjust the driver’s seat and familiarize myself with the dashboard. The previous owner was kind enough to leave the original owner’s manual in it, so I have everything I need to know. AND, the mechanic I had when I first moved here in 2018.

I’m anxious to drive but need for my foot swelling to go down a little more. Soon!!

Linda Carter she ain’t!

Not a bad trailer, though. Maybe I’ll have to watch the whole thing.

The 2nd new WW movie was about as bad as a movie can be and still have me finish it.

I’m kind-of glad I sat through it all, though. Linda Carter had a cameo at the end.

Thanks! If things work out, I’ll try it on Sunday.

The stitches in my face came out this morning, but I’m not happy with the result. The doctor was, as I suspected at the time, in a hurry and didn’t take individual stitches. I’ll just keep putting Vitamin E on the scar and hope it smooths out somewhat.

Of course, it itches. A lot more now than before Chris took the stitches out. He was so good at it. He’s such a cool guy. He’ll be here one more time next week, to close out his part of the care and then the therapist will be here as well to close out his part.

I’m grateful for all of them.

That’s what it was like when Jake scratched my eyelid. I didn’t get stitches, but it itched for a couple of weeks, and it’s taken a while for the mark to disappear.

Unngh. I may not watch it then. I wasn’t even excited when the first movie came out. I’d much rather watch re-runs of the TV series. ;o]

And how does Linda Carter look in her old age?

I can’t imagine getting stitches in my eyelid without being out for the count! I DID have them on both eyelids, but I had drifted out of then back into the coma by the time they began to sew up the eyelids. Now that my skin is getting thinner, the scars are easier to see and harder to cover up.

No one can say I led an uneventful life! I’ve got enough scars for three or four people!

Tomorrow, after I’ve written to Charlie, I’m going to clean out and rearrange the hall closet. I was in such a hurry to get the boxes unpacked after I moved in that things just went everywhere, and now I can’t find anything. So I’ll spend about an hour tomorrow to get it all squared away. I’m sure I can free up some space that could be used for more important stuff.

Chuck was back today, but I didn’t go see him. He said he had an upper respiratory virus infection and didn’t want me to get it, so he was off-limits to me. I’m just as glad!

Anyway, I’ll he heading down the hall soon.
