Ten banks in the United States are working with the New York Innovation Center (NYIC), part of the Federal Reserve, to test the regulated liability network (RLN), a digital currency platform that will replace cash.
RLN would use distributed ledger technology to improve financial settlements and would include commercials and central banks, the firm said earlier this month.

“that will replace cash”
Screw that. It gives more power to the government which by the way right now is under enemy occupation. “Do this or we will freeze your account”
What could possibly go wrong?....................
Banks and firms participating in testing digital currency include:
BNY Mellon
Citi
HSBC
Mastercard
PNC Bank
Swift
TD Bank
Trust
US Bank
Wells Fargo
They can use their digit(al) to test their prostate!
The Swamp imports millions of criminals. They cause chaos by not enforcing laws about theft and violence. Then they treat all the normal people as criminals.
They will cause so much crime and chaos that people will beg to have their freedom taken away in exchange for security.
This happens and your freedom is over.
Frequency and volume will be limited.
I’m surprised Chase is not on there.
So...in order to be inclusive...money you didn't have now magically appears in a digital account? That appears to be a pretty good rate of return.
Is anyone in Washington standing up against this?
It seems like this is being sneaked in with no opposition.
“Do this or we will freeze your account”.
“Citizen-you were warned to be obedient and you ignored the mandatory instructions. Therefore we have donated the balance of your account to the National Patriotic Rewards program where deserving citizens win prizes for acts of fealty to our Great Leader.
The Awards ceremony will be broadcast on CNN. MSNBC and Fox News at 8 PM next Tuesday. Please use the code word “SLAVE” to prove that you are present on-line to watch the celebration.
Please note—you can’t vote your way out of this. That is not one of the choices.”
Additionally, since a fully digital system would be -- surprise -- digital, there would be no reason to use a MasterCard as an interim step. Some companies will learn this very quickly.
If we fail to stand against this BS it will only escalate.
Here is the problem. Even here on the FR there are too many lazy people who will not fight this. They won’t fight it because they are too lazy to use cash, too lazy to change banks, too addicted to “convenience”, won’t call and protest it, won’t boycott it. They will instead embrace it, take us all down with them, and then be absolutely sorry they did when reality smacks them up side the head.
They just cannot see the writing on the wall and what the cause and effect of this laziness and shortsightedness will be like in the end. Everyone should call and raise hell with these banks and be serious about pulling their funds out and changing banks. But they won’t... They are going to take us down with them...
“If we fail to stand against this BS it will only escalate.”
Absolutely.
“I’m surprised Chase is not on there.”
I think chase was already committed to it.
So how does the Government get around this? Pass a law that the current Legal Tender is not legal? Is that a confiscation of your money?
Also note that our money is "Tender" which means it cannot be traded for Gold.
Would this make the Banks a monopoly? Others, including just a person to person transaction would be unable to be completed without a bank. So monopoly?
How about this scary idea, President said we have Zero Inflation last month while the bank deducts 10% from your account to cover the real inflation?
are credit unions involved?
