Video of a retail theft arrest at 95th and Ashland.
The subject resists police and takes off running. Patrick Johnson-Henry, 32, was taken into custody on the 9400 block of S Justine and was charged with 4 counts of resisting police, 1 count of possession of a replica firearm, 1 count of retail theft.

Pathetic
Blue cities are struggling to have safe cities.
“One count of possessing a REPLICA firearm? It’s illegal to own something that LOOKS like a firearm in Chicago?”
That stood out for me too. Associated with other criminal or not, this concept and idea is silly. It basically makes toy guns or anything that looks like a gun illegal. Ca has laws against pointing toy guns against anyone and scaring them. You can’t even do it to discourage thieves or attackers.
There needs to be a line drawn between real and not real. Lethal and nonlethal.
In some cases, that’s no doubt true. But your average cop is pretty obviously not a natural great runner—especially compared to your average perp.
“If you don’t want to wade through the video, yes the suspect gets away from the fabulous fatty four. At some point he does get arrested later though.”
So eventually they sent a real Police Officer.
All four were hired strictly because they weren’t white males and likely hired instead of the same.

ALL police should have to meet fitness standards once a year, EVERY YEAR!
Too many men and women are too FAT to do this job.
Case and point, this situation showed 4 FAT women unable to control one suspect because they kept bouncing off the suspect and each other.
I’m glad the semi pulled up so that we didn’t have to watch them attempt to run after him.
ROFL!
OFFS, you not recognize irony?
Some years ago my daughter was a cop briefly, she moved on to another profession after not too long, she’s 5’9 by the way, and they had a lot of heavy duty training on how to take down a bigger person. I’m not saying that she could take down any man. But they weren’t taught to do what these women did.
One of the tricks is to get behind the guy grab his hair and yank hard. You can bring down a big person that way when you snap their neck backwards.
Many years ago I had to make a middle of the night run to Albertsons for baby medicine. As I was leaving in the parking lot they had detained this man who had done something. He was going berserk & it took four adult males to get him down. At one point each one had to grab a limb and then they got him onto the ground and all piled on him. It was pretty impressive how much resistance one man could put up
Sooo, the “Law of Gross Tonnage” doesn’t always apply, I guess.
I have seen that demonstrated. It's impressive!
We will probably never know how much total the crew weighed.
I have watched something similar on one of the reality cop shows. A suspect angry enough, or intoxicated enough or on drugs, can make it difficult for even multiple males in good physical condition to arrest.
Brutal might be a more appropriate way to describe it. She said during the training it was done to them and she said it was awful.
Hmm....hard to tell if they were all overweight. The equipment is very bulky.
In this case you’re wrong!
In this case they didn’t even do what they were supposed to be trained to do. Which is if ya got a combative or uncooperative suspect, TAKE HIM TO THE GROUND, pile on the SOB until cuffed.
This is not rocket science. Those females have zero business being in these positions.
I don't doubt it. When it was demonstrated, the person went down fast and hard.
I don’t disagree with any thing you posted.
