Finally, after so long, I'm moving down south, to South Carolina. Got a job, signed a lease on an apartment, and I'm gonna get my first car down there. Things are looking up, and I hope that down the line, I'm making the right decision.
It’s a huge change
Good for you!
Good luck to you.
It is a significant difference.
Congratulations! You’re gonna do great and be fine! Enjoy your new-found freedom in your first car!
Congratulations! I knew Snake Plissken could get you out!
You might want to change your screen name after the move!
Congratulations!
Good luck down there, be prepared for your first summer to suck though. :)
Godspeed, and Be Safe.
Congratulations, you will love southern living. Do not make the mistake a lot of northern s do, just because the good folks talk slow they are not slow thinkers. Have a great new life.
Very cool, remember that as one is adjusting to a new region they always go through bad days and periods when they find nothing but faults, negatives, and frustrations locally and start looking nostalgically on their prior home and people.
Sort of like quitting smoking, sometimes the impulses and feelings feel very intense, and then they pass, and eventually they fade away and disappear and the new life is better.
Learn to speak southern
Think you are making the right move.
As long as you’re not filthy rich and New York is going to audit your taxes every year for the next ten years.
I truly think that down the road a little ways you will come to realize that leaving NYC
was the best thing you ever did for yourself!
But that is just my slightly informed opinion.
I have never lived in NYC.
Been there for business. Had a car stolen there. (Okay, my ex-girlfriend's car.)
But I've been there often enough to come to dislike the place.
Welcome to the South, buddy. I’m sure you’ll like it a lot better.
SC is a different world...particularly during the months when it feels like a sauna bath.
Good fortune to you - you’ll love the barbecue!
