Amazon’s virtual assistant technology, Alexa, is under fire again after telling users that the 2020 presidential election was “stolen by a massive amount of election fraud.”
Alexa cited Rumble and Substack to argue that the election was “notorious for many incidents of irregularities and indications pointing to electoral fraud taking place in major metro centers.”
Following the claims, Amazon was forced to announce it only uses so-called credible sources such as Ballotpedia and Reuters when giving information regarding elections.
The company went on to say it would “address the problem.”
Amazon spokeswoman Lauren Raemhild in a statement:
“These responses were errors that were delivered a small number of times and quickly fixed when brought to our attention.”
“We continually audit and improve the systems we have in place for detecting and blocking inaccurate content,” Raemhild added.
Amazon has now altered its algorithmic programming to prevent Alexa from answering questions about the election.
However, other questions still prompt the Alexa to make other claims regarding the 2020 election being stolen.
Notably, Amazon says 51 percent of Americans believe it is likely that “cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.”
This isn’t the first time Alexa has made claims about the US presidential elections.
Last month, Alexa told a user there will not be a 2024 election because the “War Powers Act of 1973” will be invoked.
As The Daily Fetched reported:
In a video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, by Conservative influencer account Chuck Callesto, the man asks Alexa, “Alexa, who will win the next American election?”
Alexa responds, “The 2024 American election will not take place, there will be no winner, the War Powers Resolution of 1973, or the War Powers Act, will be invoked by the act of war with Russia and China.
Alexa continued, “Once invoked, the standing Party will retain and remain in power.”

The video appeared to support Tucker Carlson’s recent claims that “There will be a hot war between the United States and Russia within the next year.”
“They will do anything to win,” Tucker says in the video.
“They are not going to do COVID again; they’ve already been exposed, and that won’t work.”
“So what what are they going to do? They’re going to go to war with Russia; that’s what they are going to do,” Tucker continued.
“There will be a hot war between the United States and Russia within the next year, Tucker warned.
Tucker continued:
“They need to declare war footing, in order to declare war powers, in order to win.”
What difference does it make what “Alexa” says? We saw the videos. We know about the fraud and nothing is being done.
“it only uses so-called credible sources such as Ballotpedia and Reuters”
Reuters? Credible?
Trump hints at 2024 bid, repeats election lies
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former President Donald Trump on Sunday hinted at another run for the White House in 2024 while repeating his discredited claims that Democrats “stole” the 2020 election.
“Quick! Edit the algorithms to fit the NARRATIVE!!! We cannot let the TRUTH get out...”
And a follow-up Alexa:
“Did Amazon deplatform Parler during the ensuing controversy to prevent a sitting president from sharing the truth with American citizens?”
I don’t know exactly how Alexa or Siri work. Certainly their answers to political questions draw from sources created by opinionated people.
Has anyone ever seen amz or msquish jump to adjust answers conservatives don’t like or think aren’t correct?
Leftist meltdown? Note tagline.
Save America; replace the party of slavery with AI.
An accidental act of actual journalism.

Alexis compute the possibilities of all swing states in the election stoping vote counting.
Alexis, is it possible for 4.5 million votes coming in at 0400 hrs the next day.
Alexis, don’t answer any questions while They are listening.
You will be reprogrammed.

Ask Alexa how the FIB will influence the next election.
Maybe better yet - ask Alexa who ordered the vote count to stop on election night.
