As William Buckley used to say, herewith a few comments on Hamas’s 10/7 attack on Israel (with apologies for those that have already achieved the status of cliché):
• Hamas’s 10/7 attack is something like Israel’s 9/11, only worse. Israel’s death toll has hit more than 400 (and rising). Adjusting for population and measuring by the deaths inflicted so far, Israel has suffered (is suffering) an attack that is something like three times more damaging than 9/11. (UPDATE: The Times of Israel now puts the death toll at more than 600. The toll is several times more damaging than 9/11.)
• Hamas is a genocidal terrorist organization. It is waging war by atrocity, as it always does. The fire this time should be its last.
• As I write on 10/8, Hamas’s attack continues and deaths mount. Israel seems not yet to have concluded the fighting on its own territory.
• The Israeli intelligence, defense, and political establishments were caught napping. The complete failure of intelligence is comparable to the one that preceded the Yom Kippur War 50 years ago.

The idea Mossad was caught napping is ludicrous.
This attack involved thousands of missiles, months of training and preparation, and thousands of men when logistical support is included.
Any and all Muslims should be removed from the intelligence community. Those in a Congress denied access to the security or intelligence committees.
with current technology, every single terrorist that crossed into Israel should already be identified by name and address and their vehicles tracked by satellite back to their hideouts.
Speaking of Buckley, this is the President that National Review and the Wall Street Journal wanted.
So what then? Why weren't they proactive and why didn't they act to stop it before it began?
I don’t think we should automatically assume they wanted to stop it.
Time for Israel to go all Dier Yassin on ther butts. Or will they use the George Bush Jr philosophy and declare the moslems to be a “religion of peace”.
Same as Pearl Harbor.
Look at the war support now.

Intelligence analysis is not an exact science. At best it’s an art. You will miss things. Also, your country’s policy makers may choose to ignore you.
Remember the Lusitania.
Just not for the reason our budding Deep State suggested.
There is no doubt that there were some intelligence failures, some high tech deception (electronic countermeasures, AI, and infiltration). The U.S. will pay a price for our support of Iran. I expect that to be sooner rather than later. Pray for Israel and get prepared. This is another trigger for a world conflagration.

They are overwhelmingly commie/socialist in their ideology and are more than happy to sacrifice their fellow citizens to bring down the hated Bibi. Leftism is a death cult.
