Illinois GOP Chairman Don Tracy released the following statement: Finally, I would like to conclude this week’s Chairman’s Memo by thanking Kevin McCarthy for his service as Speaker. Kevin McCarthy won back the House over two tough election cycles by being a prolific fundraiser and recruiter, and elected a record number of women and minority members serving in Congress.
" Our nation would not have the House Republican majority without Kevin McCarthy. It took a lot of flying, even stopping in Illinois a few times to support our candidates, fundraising, and strength of courage to lead national efforts to secure the House Republican majority."
Our deepest thanks to Speaker Kevin McCarthy for his leadership, but no thanks to the 8 Congressional Republicans who joined forces with Democrats to oust a conservative Republican House Speaker!
No Don TRACY! The majority of Illinois REPUBLICANS don't feel like this. We gladly stand by Matt Gaetz and the rest of the Bold and Courageous Republicans who stood strong and demanded ACCOUNTABLITY from Republican leaders.
Don Tracy Also states: House Republican Leader Tony McCombie reminded the public again that we've seen what happens when Republicans are left out of the conversation, when there is no access or accountability, “House Republican lawmakers have filed bills to provide solutions.
What Don Tracy will not talk about is this woman Republican (leader? ugh) Tony McCombie Will fight to the Death defending her vote to allow NON-CITIZENS to become POLICE OFFICERS in Illinois and arrest American Citizens!

There is a great battle right now in Illinois for the heart of the Party.
A Little about who this GOP Chairman DON TRACY Really Is.
Here in Illinois, Dot Foods, Inc. – a family-owned company that employs more than 6,000 people in the US and Canada – is the nation’s largest distributor of food and related products. Headquartered in Mt. Sterling, IL, the company is owned by twelve siblings, including IL GOP chairman Don Tracy.
In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, owners made a $6,193 donation to Joe Biden.
By contrast, in 2018, owners made a $250 donation to President Donald Trump.
And in 2022, owners made a $3,900 donation to US Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R.; a $4,900 donation to US Rep. Rodney Davis, R.; and a $51,000 donation to the Republican Party of Illinois.
In 2020, US Rep. Rodney Davis was one of 35 House Republicans to support the January 6th Commission to investigate the attack on the US Capitol – a move that angered Trump.
Davis has also said that he’d vote for Liz Cheney for president; he supported some forms of Black Lives Matter ideologies; he said Trump needed to “grow up;” and in 2016, he withdrew his endorsement of then GOP nominee for President Donald Trump.
But these donations should come as no surprise from the owners of Dot Foods. After all, in 2002, Don Tracy ran in the Illinois primary for the 50th State Senate District as a Democrat.
In 2002, Tracy was a registered Democrat. In 2021, he was elected chairman of the IL GOP.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but political donations can tell a story too.
Sounds like every Illinois Republican I’ve ever known.

Some old guy said to me and the rest of the room, You have to start voting for WHO we tell you to vote for.

My Letter to the Editor about Republican Leader Tony McCombie:
KEEP STANDARDS
Now I have heard it all (“Debate
over non-citizens becoming
police officers,” Aug. 10). The
so-called leader in the Illinois
Republican party is no leader
at all. House Leader Tony
McCombie is instrumental in total
misinformation. I am very tired of
hearing the opinions of these elected
officials instead of what is lawful and
constitutional.
You would think lawmakers
would at least take time to check
with lawyers or other immigration
experts as to what will hold up in
a court of law. But instead, Leader
McCombie would rather vote what
she thinks, rather than what would
support our Constitution.
I did my due diligence and
checked with immigration lawyers
in Washington, D.C., who actually
do this for a living. Th e lawyers
said DACA recipients are not on
a pathway to citizenship. Their
deportation has merely been deferred
and DACA can be revoked at any
time, making them deportable.
A law enforcement officer
generally has to take an oath to
uphold our Constitution and our
laws. If the individual is an illegal
alien, he or she cannot take that
oath.
There is also no way to
definitively determine who that
individual is because they were not
vetted or admitted into the country.
Standards should not be changed
because more police are needed.
Would you allow nurses to practice
medicine because there is a shortage
of doctors?

So fundraising, women and minorities are all that matter? What about saving the country from the commies?

They keep repeating that line, but it sounds to me like McCarthy was working with the Democrats to solidify his position as speaker. As far as that goes how many Republicans routinely vote with Democrats anyway? If voting with Democrats is now brings for removal from the caucus, there’s a whole bunch of them should be kicked out.

A cop friend just sent me this about 15 minutes ago. Under federal law Dacca recipients are not allowed to possess a firearm or ammunition. Agencies hiring Dacca recipients are breaking the law, and they’re not allowed to carry a firearm off duty or buy ammo.
