A remarkable incident unfolded in southern Australia when a farmer, Frank Pao-Ling Tsai, stumbled upon a creature believed to be locally extinct for over a century. Tsai, a dedicated trout farmer residing in Beachport, South Australia, was jolted awake by a commotion emanating from his chicken coop in the early morning of Tuesday, September 26. Intrigued and concerned, he swiftly ventured outside to investigate the source of the disturbance.
To his astonishment, Tsai discovered a peculiar spotted creature amidst the chaos, accompanied by the unfortunate demise of one of his chickens. Initially perplexed by the unfamiliar sight, Tsai recounted his surprise to ABC News, confessing, "I had no idea what it was at first. I expected to find a cat, but I found this little animal instead."
Captivating photographs of the captured animal have since emerged, showcasing its distinctive features. The creature boasts a lustrous brown coat, complemented by a lengthy tail and an enchanting array of white spots. Evidently agitated, the creature fiercely bared its teeth at the camera, as depicted in the captivating images.

Australia, the land where extinct animals kill your chickens.
All that and we have to go to your blog to learn the name of the animal.
Australia has the weird stuff.
No kidding; at least we can read about You-Crane SPAM here without visiting a blog :)
No doubt caused by global warming.
Chupacabra!
Thank you for posting. Disregard the complainers.
There is spam and worse coming from Russia but there is still a lot of good information being posted to keep us Americans informed of our NATO aid and its value in slowing down that Russian invasion.
I saw your comment, and instead of clicking on the link, I just did a search for "Beachport, South Australia creature thought extinct" and the name of the animal and multiple other articles about it came right up.
spotted-tailed quoll (Dasyurus maculatus) is the name.
I was hoping it’d be a chupacabra. I guess a little close.
Australia, where ALL wildlife wants to kill you.
Even the koala bear wants to, he just can’t.
I don’t understand why people have a problem with clicking on a link to someone’s blog. It’s almost as if they’re against small businesses and entrepreneurship. Seems like they prefer to support mainstream media.
The mainstream Media supports their fantasies about The Ukraine, and suppresses impeachment news about their Big Guy, who's prosecuting the proxy war against the Russian Army in the Russian Federation.
[Well, The Tater's handlers are prosecuting the proxy war. The Tater is trying to avoid getting ambushed by the kiddie steps to Air Farts One.]
Looks like an opossum, with spots
‘Possom spotted in Australia!
When I was in Australia, we had a couple of those for dinner.
