I twice attempted to post the news of the death of the Baltimore Orioles and MLB great and Hall of Famer, Brooks Robinson. Both times I posted it to General Chat with a keyword of Sports and both times some Mod pulled it saying I posted it to the wrong forum. I think that nickcaraway also had his post pulled.
I do not understand why these posts were pulled.

I do not understand why these posts were pulled.
No idea why it won’t fit in general chat.
Nevertheless, it sounds more like actual news to me. Try there.
The message I got was it was pulled for being posted to News Activism which it was not.
Maybe the Mod doesn’t like Robinson or the Orioles.
Conspiracy theory!
Perhaps a Yankees fan? :)
Anyway, it is a shame that this hasn’t been allowed to be posted. If I posted in the wrong forum, I could understand that but I posted it to Chat.
No more contributions would work. Watch this post go the way of Zuckerberg.
That is weird.
That sounds like the right category.
The mods should move it to the right category or at least tell you what it is. People put effort into their posts. Deleting them in an unfriendly way makes no sense on a website that is run on goodwill and donations.
You are such an activist... ;)
Or maybe the mod doesn’t know that Robinson was a baseball player and the Orioles are a baseball team. Or, maybe the mod doesn’t know what baseball is either.
But the reason I was given was not that it was a duplicate but that it was posted to the wrong forum. Being a duplicate, I would understand.
You weren’t given a reason. I simply linked it to the previous article.
That’s nothing.
If you criticize Israel or the endless gobs of money we send to Ukraine, your posts will get deleted.
No wonder why the FReeperthons are taking longer to finish.
No. You didn’t link to the previous post.
Dude.
Ohnay argueway iwthway eethey odsmay.
What? Are you saying there are politically based Mod filters on FR?
why?

I can understand why the mods would sometimes get exasperated by posts that obviously break the rules.
Nevertheless, you make a good point.
Sounds like a butthurt report filing might clear this up for you.
Ask the mod for the updated form.
