Foreign Minister Eli Cohen told Kan News Friday that he believes “at least” half a dozen Muslim countries will follow Saudi Arabia’s lead, should Riyadh and Jerusalem normalize ties.
Cohen was interviewed at the United Nations after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke of how a “new Middle East” is being created as more Arab countries establish diplomatic relations with Israel. Cohen noted that during his General Assembly address, Netanyahu had said that “a peace deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia also means peace between the Jewish people and the greater Muslim world.”
“There are another six or seven countries that will join that peace agreement, that I have met with – significant Muslim countries with which we do not have relations that are interested,” he said.
He then backtracked slightly, saying that he had personally met with “several” of those countries’ representatives. He refused to name them, saying simply that they are “from Africa and Asia.

Saudi is recruiting support from other Arab countries for it to ally with Israel to implement the UN General Assembly’s 1947 Resolution 181, which would have created a 2-state nation of Palestine.
The original plan was for Syria to control those parts of Mandatory Palestine that used to be in Syria, and for Jordan to do the same for the Trans-Jordan. Jerusalem was to have been ruled by an international body. Syria and Jordan’s refusals to support the UN resolution was what triggered the civil war between the new Israeli Arabs and the ruling Israeli Jews.
Israel has refused demands from the faux-Palestinian terrorist organizations to give them control over the Arab territories because they know the Israeli Arabs will only use the opportunity as safe harbor from which to stage even more devastating attacks against the Jews.
Israel is trying to coax Saudi into taking the role as surrogate government for the Arab regions because they trust that the Royal House of Saudi is genuinely interested in maintaining the peace and has no compunction about ruling over their brother Muhammadans with an iron rod.
