House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Saturday backtracked and said he will keep the $300 million of Ukraine aid in the Pentagon funding bill.

McCarthy on Saturday said he will keep Ukraine aid in the Pentagon appropriations bill just one day after vowing to strip the funding.
In another article, the Hill said:
“McCarthy told reporters that he expects Greene to oppose the procedural vote to advance the four spending bills because of the inclusion of Ukraine aid.”
Congressman Byron Donalds:
“A lot of my colleagues, Freedom Caucus members, etc., need to be very concerned about the fact that we do have some Republican members who are willing to sign on to a clean [continuing resolution] with the Democrats, and basically eliminates out leverage to do anything,” Donalds told reporters on Tuesday, according to Fox News.
“I don’t take that lightly. There’s multiple games afoot in this town,” Donalds said.
According to Fox News, Congressman Byron Donalds’ proposal would fund the government for 30 days with an 8% cut and includes the border security bill.

Traitors nearly all of them.
Good question. Let's do the math
The 24 billion was for a year of funding this is for 30 days or 1 month
So first we divid the 24 by 12 to get the monthly rate of spending
24b/12 = 2b
the monthly rate is 2 billion
Now what percent of 2 billion is 300 million.
300m/2b = .15 or 15%
FYI 15 percent is greater then 1.2 percent
McCarthy is Deep State.
“Rather use that $300 million on the southern border...”
Yeah, they would use the $300 million for welding open all border gates.
“McCarthy is Deep State.”
Ya THINK?!
It’s just more proof the uniparty is alive and well.
Too much influence from party bosses and K Street lobbyist/whores, with my apologies to real the SLAGS. ( slag: definition= a whore, of the worse kind).
Time to repeal the 17th Amendment and restore some checks and balances on Fedzilla.
DEMOCRATS are LAW-LESS because REPUBLICANS ARE BALL-LESS!
but $300 million is a lot less than $24 billion. The Biden/Zelensky Crime Syndicate would only get about 1% of what they asked for.

You forgot the
” oops we overpaid”
that will turn that 300 mil into 24 billion before you can say
” laundromat”.
I don’t know. I think it takes real balls to stand up and lie directly to your constituents day after day and week after week.
How about stopping the 12 percent in food stamp money coming October 1st. Believe it or not we spend more on food stamp allocation then anything sent to Ukraine.
We have 4 seats in the house, no senate majority or presidency. How on earth can a bill pass exclusively republican or even conservative. It’s not possible.
That’s because once a bill leaves the house, the senate gets to work on it. I think some here are clueless how a bill is passed.
We spend 333 billion a year on border security. 300K would be nothing.
He fights for his net worth, which was around $100m last I checked.
$300 million replaced $20 Billion.
30 days later McCarthy might have more courage to do the right thing. But don’t hold your breath.
There is a flaw in your arithmetic. $20 Billion was going to Ukraine pronto, not spread over 12 months.
$300 million REPLACES that $20 Billion.
McCarthy has been compromised...

I guess that 4 year degree I got in Political Science and International Defense Systems was a total waste.
Finance bills start in the House of Representatives. If The majority doesn’t want to give $300 million to the Ukraine they just strip it out, pass the bill and send it to the Senate. If the Senate wants a finance bill they can pass what they get or start negotiating for concessions.
The Democrats never give concessions because they know the Republicans will cave. They don’t have the guts to just let the govt shut down and wait the Democrats out. The Republicans have the power in the House they as usual are afraid to weild that power.
