House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Saturday backtracked and said he will keep the $300 million of Ukraine aid in the Pentagon funding bill.

McCarthy on Saturday said he will keep Ukraine aid in the Pentagon appropriations bill just one day after vowing to strip the funding.
In another article, the Hill said:
“McCarthy told reporters that he expects Greene to oppose the procedural vote to advance the four spending bills because of the inclusion of Ukraine aid.”
Congressman Byron Donalds:
“A lot of my colleagues, Freedom Caucus members, etc., need to be very concerned about the fact that we do have some Republican members who are willing to sign on to a clean [continuing resolution] with the Democrats, and basically eliminates out leverage to do anything,” Donalds told reporters on Tuesday, according to Fox News.
“I don’t take that lightly. There’s multiple games afoot in this town,” Donalds said.
According to Fox News, Congressman Byron Donalds’ proposal would fund the government for 30 days with an 8% cut and includes the border security bill.

I don’t know what else his plan would be. He’s been pinning down the Conservatives, and he pointed to coming back later and addressing Spending issues when he away the store to Biden in Debt Ceiling negotiations.
In those Debt Ceiling negotiations, the Dems didn’t try to pass a bill, and Biden left for the Beach, but McCarthy came to the rescue for Joe. Joe praised him for doing as he promised he would when Joe got finally back from the Beach.
McCarthy is betting rather than stripping the Ukraine aid out of the Defense legislation and giving it a separate vote, Republicans will now allow a vote on the floor to remove the Ukraine funding from both the Defense and State bills — all but guaranteeing the funding will stay in with help from Democrats.

McCarthy is playing a dangerous game.
