Federal prosecutors are scrutinizing personal benefits Tesla TSLA 0.45%increase; green up pointing triangle may have provided Elon Musk since 2017—longer than previously known—as part of a criminal investigation examining issues including a proposed house for the chief executive.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York also has sought information about transactions between Tesla and other entities connected to the billionaire, people familiar with the investigation said. Prosecutors have referenced the involvement of a grand jury.
The new information indicates that federal prosecutors have a broader interest in the actions of Musk and Tesla than was previously known and that they are pursuing potential criminal charges. The Wall Street Journal reported last month that the Justice Department is investigating Tesla’s use of company resources on a secret project that was described internally as a house for Musk.
The house effort was known within the carmaker as “Project 42,” and plans called for an expansive glass building to be constructed near Tesla’s Austin-area factory and headquarters.
The Securities and Exchange Commission has opened a separate civil investigation into the project, the Journal has reported.
On X, the social-media platform formerly known as Twitter, Musk has said there isn’t a glass house “built, under construction or planned.” He didn’t address past work or plans; neither he nor his representatives have responded to requests for comment.
Last year, Musk explored building a home for himself on a horse farm across the Colorado River from the factory known as Giga Texas—and met with an architect to brainstorm designs—but “put off building it,” Walter Isaacson wrote in an authorized biography of the billionaire published this month. At one point, according to the book, Musk suggested the design could incorporate a shard of glass emerging from a lake.

Yes, wrong against blacks is wrong. But is that the whole story? How about some numbers. How many crimes against other racial groups - and by who? How many mass murders (four or more victims) are done by blacks or sexual weirdos - and how many by ‘white men’... let’s see the numbers.

The Biden cabal hates Musk. Yet to be objective would like a true accounting as to what is really happening at Tesla. Tesla claims that that they sell out the total output of what they produce in China and show it as revenue. Yet the “purhasers” are the Chinese government and it is questionable if any actual hard cash has gone to Tesla or been transferred to Western banks.Are Chinese roads jammed with Tesla EVs and are there innumerable charging stations thoughout China? Nor is it clear just why Tesla stock fluctuates so wildly and just who is making money with the fluctuations. Initially the investors in this company could best be described as cultists who IMHO still keep this stock price at an artificially high level. High priced EVs simply don’t sell in the numbers in the US that make the Tesla story believable or sustainable. Musk is truly a great man for what he has accomplished but IMHO he is a bit of a con artist. Biden’s cabal may find some shady dealings if they really are searching in this political witchhunt.

They (TSLA) is delivering over a million cars per year - what is not believable? and btw, there profit margin is more than 400% higher than then the next closest - $9,500 per car vs $2150 per car at GM.
Here in NW Florida, there are Teslas all over the place, practically as common as a Toyota or Nissan or KIA.................
Now we know why Starship 2.0 hasn’t been launched. The FAA is full of lock step liberals and have been told that anything Musk does is to be stopped.
Bit skeptical of your observation. Wonder if your impression correlates with actual registrations on file with Florida’s Department of Motor Vehicles. Teslas are not a common sight in Northern clime areas. GM and Ford EVs are a really rare sighting. Very suspicious of the entire EV story.

I’m really tired of this political “investigate somebody you don’t like until you find something to go after them on” BS. An obvious 4A violation.
In my mind I try to come up with the answer to the question, “what should be the trigger point for ‘enough is enough’?”.
...maybe a sham trial for PDJT and seeing him put in prison.
