Back in Shakespeare’s day, all of the female parts in plays were played by cross-dressing men. Women were not even allowed to play themselves!
It looks like modern feminism is all about pushing women’s rights backwards a few centuries. They started with allowing men to compete in women’s sports on the flimsy basis that they claim to “identify” as women. And a man was appointed to be the first woman assistant secretary of the HHS. Although the current biographical blurb on the HHS website backed down from that claim and now says that he is the first “trans” to be appointed (while it keeps referring to him as “she”).
Must be an English thing, since Monty Python did the same.

I guess it’s feminist logic. They support men who are stronger and faster than women because men and women should be equal.

I am tired of seeing “patriarchy” being corrupted for political expedience. Patriarch doesn’t mean male, it means father, as in a society organized by families and based on parental rule and status. If anything is true right now it’s that the US is no longer focused on families.
