A gender reveal party held Saturday in Mexico never stopped — even for a plane crash.
A couple had decided to hire a plane as part of their gender reveal festivities that took place Saturday in San Pedro, Sinaloa, Mexico, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.
The couple waited by a large display sign that read, “Oh Baby.”
A video posted to X, formerly called Twitter, showed the plane zooming low, dropping pink smoke over the assembled guests to show that the baby would be a girl.
A Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee aircraft (XB-ABM) collapsed its left wing and crashed while carrying out a maneuver during a function in San Pedro, Sinaloa, Mexico on 02 September.

Society keeps finding new ways to exhibit their collective stupidity. Gender reveal. Really? Who shives a git. It’s either a boy or a girl. You really need a party for that?

I don’t understand these gender reveal parties and antics, I guess at least the parents didn’t abort, but just bring danger to those they hire to celebrate their vanity.
Off-topic, but since “gender” is fluid and can be changed at-will, why are “gender reveal” parties a thing?

These days there’s a quick blood test, where you get lab results back after two days, based on fetal DNA in mom’s blood. It works in first trimester.
But thats just genetics. Gender is decided by the kid’s kindergarten teacher.

I remember when one just announced if it was going to be a boy or a girl.
It’s another excuse to be the center of attention. I don’t buy any BS about it being nice for the family and friends. Holding a game night and casually mentioning jt then would do the same for those who care, but it wouldn’t make the parents the focus of the festivities. It’s all about “look at us”.

I am old fashioned these are SEX reveal parties.
IMO, it's an extreme, the mother and father are joyous at the gender, thus the gender "celebration", the other they are not and do genital mutilation.
The days of welcoming a child, no matter the gender are gone.
