Feeling empowered after his boost from Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp, a man of notoriously intemperate disposition, presidential candidate Ron DeSantis begins the process to align himself with the neocon establishment and labeling Donald Trump supporters as “listless vessels” devoid of principle, who simply “follow whatever comes down the pike from Truth Social every morning.”
Appearing with a young millennial wearing a beaver tail on his head, namely Will Witt from the Florida Standard, Ron DeSantis outlines his opinion that the MAGA movement is only driven by the support of President Donald Trump, a person who has exhausted his usefulness in awakening the electorate. As a result, the high-minded superior intellects of the Republican Party now need to step in, reestablish the core values of the conservative movement, and put the squirming MAGA children in their play pens.
You can watch the entire interview below; I’m just prompting it to the part that best highlights the sanctimonious arrogance of a dim-witted candidate who really doesn’t carry his own policies, only those of the managers and branding consultants that create his talking points. WATCH:
What the insufferable DeSantis and his branding/image consultants pretend not to know, is that President Trump’s America First policies are the driving force behind the MAGA movement. Those policies consist of three main attributes that are non-existent in any other candidate:
Immigration. The construct of a southern border wall, denial of illegal entry and a return to immigration border controls that block illegal aliens.
Economics. The implementation of MAGAnomics that puts incentives behind Made In America. Baseline tariffs on all imports. The removal of the 70-year-old one-way Marshal plan for tariffs on USA products into the EU. Reciprocal tariffs against all nations who participate in bilateral Free Trade Agreements, and a return to America first manufacturing independence.
Foreign Policy. The withdrawal of USA interventionist foreign policy. The respect of national borders and national policies that are the outcome of the independent will of people within sovereign nations. The primary responsibility of NATO funding, support and activity, to the member states of the European Union. The use of USA economic strength as a national security weapon.
Those three pillars form the baseline of the America First policy that President Trump represents. No other candidate comes even close to the policies therein. President Trump represents the vessel we are using to force the professional political class to accept these policy priorities. MAGA is a set of policies uniquely attributed to President Trump, because only Trump willingly represents those policies.
The GOPe know this; so too does Ron DeSantis and his handlers. Every candidate in the Republican field understands this set of policies, and they have been paid by the multinational donors to pretend they do not know. Their collective GOPe mission is to destroy the policy platform; therefore, they must attack the core of the Trump supporters by pretending not to know.
Arizona's Secretary of State won the Governorship DESPITE in your face cheating. Voting machines didn't work, wrong sized ballots, etc. it took Arizona a month to count votes. It was a total disgrace under then Secretary of State Katie Hobbs now Governor.
Georgia has become a laughingstock under Kemp.
Wisconsin has a Republican House and a Republican Senate BUT a Democrat Governor, Secretary of State and AG.
In Michigan the Democratic Party controls the offices of governor, secretary of state, attorney general, and both chambers of the state legislature.
In Pennsylvania tje Democratic Party controls the offices of governor, attorney general, and the lower chamber of the state legislature, while the Republican Party controls the office of secretary of state and the upper chamber of the state legislature.
I am happy to say under Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis Florida cleaned up its act. The change came from voters.
Do not forget that never in America's voting history did 5 states stop counting ballots. Then in the wee hours of the morning thousands upon thousands of ballots showed up for Biden. Unbelievable! Since Biden and the Deep State have made it a crime to question the vote we will never know the depth of The Cheat.
Michigan and Pennsylvania are not the swing states, Trump caught the Democrats napping in 2016.
Other swing states to your list are Nevada and North Carolina.

I’m sure I’ve watched via computer at least 25 rallies, and never saw any less crowd than this. Trump voters are the most entertained voters.
If the shoe fits, wear it. You follow a man, not principles. You lick his Gucci loafers no matter what he does. "Listless vessel" perfectly describes you. I applaud DeSantis saying this.

It’s amazing how easily Trump can insult his appononts and they come unglued. None of them seem have the art of comedy. All they could turn the hits around and make them funny. Don’t tell anyone I suggested this.

It is Monday morning, and I feel like an “listless Vessel”!
I'll bet nobody in my extended family even knows what a "listless vessel" is. I had to Google it -- and I'm still not sure what DeSantis meant because the words are not really in the American vocabulary.
A big part of leading any large organization is communicating effectively with people at all levels -- not just the brainy managers and technicians, but also the Joe Six-Packs and Jill Wine-Coolers who are crucial to any human enterprise --large or small.
Ron was certainly born with a silver spoon in his mouth, in the sense that he's intelligent, has degrees from Yale and Haaaa...vard, and knows the language of attorneys.
But Ron lacks the "common touch" -- kind of surprising actually when you realize Ron's a politician. And casually calling MAGA voters "listless vessels" is an indicator of how out of touch he is.
His aloofness from We the People is one reason he draws only a couple dozen people to his events in Iowa. Meanwhile Trump easily fills big arenas with supporters.
Another factor working against DeSantis is his lack of national name-recognition. Sure, FReepers know something about DeSantis because we follow politics. But frankly, across Rush's "fruited plain" he's not well-known.
Yet, before Trump ran for President, he was already a widely known celebrity and businessman. And he grew the Trump Organization into a world-recognized brand in hotels, golf, media, and other ventures.
But Ron has never really had any private business experience either. After college, he spent a few years as a Navy JAG Corps officer and a year after leaving, he ran for Congress. My guess is he was being groomed by the Donor class to become another Mitt Romney.
So these are a few reasons to explain why the Ron DeSantis brand is failing to catch fire.
