President Donald Trump dropped a bombshell report on his Truth Social platform that the sham committee overseeing the investigation of the January 6th Capitol riot has destroyed their documents and records illegally.
On Tuesday, Trump wrote:
President Trump: So now that I have full Subpoena Power because of the Freedom of Speech Sham Indictment by Crooked Joe Biden, Deranged Jack Smith, and the DOJ, it has just been reported that the Unselect January 6th Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs has illegally destroyed their Records and Documents. This is unthinkable, and the Fake Political Indictment against me must be immediately withdrawn. The system is Rigged & Corrupt, very much like the Presidential Election of 2020. We are a Nation in Decline!

Name one.
You’re taking Trump’s word that the documents aren’t still stored somewhere, and were destroyed. Where’s your PROOF of that?
I learned long ago not to trust anything Trump says, especially in some tweet, because at least half the time, it’s self serving BS. He’s probably just being toyed with again, by the Democrats, who make him look clueless constantly.
Ah, yes, 4D chess and The Kraken.
Tick-tock!
How about two? Cheney and Kinsinger. Shouldn’t have been all the Republicans had on our side there, but when Trump and McCarthy decided to boycott, it opened the door for those losers to take the lead.
“Obviously not, since Trump is whining he can’t get access to their documents now.”
I’ll afford you a bit more respect
than others have, responding to
your posts.
Trump is celebrating the fact
that the J6 committee has destroyed
the records. He is not whinning
about it. Destroying government
records is a crime. Trump could be
exonerated of the four charges
due to these actions, as, supposedly
these were the records that brought
the charges in the first place.
That's not how I remember it.
According to this article from The Washington Examiner, The New York Times reported that President Trump was open to testifying in front of the J6 committee, but only on the condition that they aired it live on TV for all Americans to see.
Trump was concerned that the committee would manipulate his testimony, essentially cherry-picking the parts that they wanted the way that they did in their ABC News-produced prime time committee hearings earlier in the year.
Oh, and he didn't "ignore the whole thing, like he was magically above it all," he claimed separation of powers and said that Congress had no authority to subpoena a President to appear before them. He claimed "Presidential immunity" from being compelled to speak before Congress for things that occurred while he was President.

That's false too. They didn't pick Republicans. They picked 2 RINOS...big difference. 7 Democrats and 2 RINOS??? Oh yeah, that's a fair and equitable representation on the Committee. And as you'll notice, neither of them is in Congress anymore because of their shenanigans on the Committee, and their 2nd impeachment vote. Democrats eliminated Kinzinger's district, and Lizzie was sent home packing by the same people who sent her there in the first place.

Trump's fault. He's the one who ran and hid, and left Cheney and Kinsinger representing the Republican side in those hearings. Sure, they got voted out, and rightfully so. But Trump left them in control of the Republican side of those hearings. Don't like Liz, or Wray, or Miley, or any of those horrible people? It's because of Trump they got to where they are. Period.
I don't know where you got that out of what I said. I never even mentioned Trump's name in my comment, but your TDS clicked-in, and you went bouncing off the wall.. I said "Presidents" that means all Presidents...all Presidents are required by law to retain all the records from their time in office...and you went off into la la land about Trump hiding documents somewhere.
You obviously can't comprehend what people write. You reply with comments that have nothing to do with the comment you are replying to.
The hearings were aired, every day on TV, so he would have obviously been aired too.
The cases should be dismissed as the democrats destroyed evidence. All parties damaged by them can sue them and win bigly.
Given all of that, perhaps in hindsight it could be seen that Trump’s decision not to participate is in fact at least partially justified, because of a concern that parts of his secret testimony would be withheld and erased, leaving only publicizing of parts of his testimony that may have been pre-selected to make him appear guilty of something or another.
I don't know what you're talking about here.
Kevin McCarthy named five Republicans to join the J6 committee: Rodney Davis of Illinois, Kelly Armstrong of North Dakota, Troy Nehls of Texas, Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana. McCarthy had selected Banks, the chairman of the Republican Study Committee, to be the top Republican on the panel.
When Nancy Pelosi unilaterally rejected Jordan and Banks, McCarthy pulled all of the Republicans from the committee and Pelosi named Kinzinger and Cheney on her own.

Thanks P.J. for the research and the sanity. That’s the information that Golden Showers should have checked out first, before making wild accusations. But it’s easier to be lazy, and let other people fact-check you. He must love being refuted and embarrassed.
They would make him testify behind closed doors so they could twist everything he said. The committee didn’t take him up on the offer.
You need to go run and hide. You’re embarrassing yourself horribly with your ignorance on the topic.
And you know that because??? You had inside information? Did you also have inside information that the J6 Committee was going to destroy all their documents?
Thanks for your respectful post. I simply don't trust Trump when he claims the records were destroyed. What is his proof? He just doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore. But if they were destroyed, they should be held accountable. if that's what actually happened. He still could have had his own copies had he participated, instead of just conceding everything to them. Thanks.
