The hearings were live, but the materials they presented were edited beforehand.
Only two witnesses were aired live, Matthew Pottinger, former deputy national security advisor, and Sarah Matthews, a former press aide. Both Pottinger and Matthews resigned immediately after the Jan. 6, 2021 speech, so naturally they were ripe for the committee to show live.
Neither of these two are considered (by me) to be senior members of the Trump administration with inside knowledge of President Trump. They were aides to the senior members of the team.
