August 4, 1962, was Marilyn Monroe’s Deathday.
In May 1962, Marilyn Monroe sang her legendary breathy version of "Happy Birthday, Mr President" to JFK at a Democratic Party fundraiser in Madison Square Garden. Two and a half months later, on August 4, at home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, she died.
In The Guardian, in 2016, David Thomson described her appearance in May 1962 with these words: "....... (she) stood there, with her massed blonde waves jutting off to one side, like the control on tower (of) an aircraft carrier, in a dress that could have been painted on her. ....... This is maybe her greatest moment – the most reckless – and she knows it, even if the summer of 1962 is her hell."
Because of the way we love beautiful women who appear to be free.

She was a CIA operative.
Doubtful. However she was probably murdered by what we now call ‘the deep state’.
Both JFK and RFK had reasons to want her unalive.
what is the "we' in this story as if the entire population is male....
honestly, MM seemed a little ridiculous, not beautiful in the classic way like Bacall or Natalie Wood....
but let the fantasy continue...
Here it is. Oops. Sorry. That’s Madonna singing to Bill Clinton.

“She was a CIA operative.”
Can you tell me more about that?
“I don’t love beautiful women who appear to be free.....I could care less.....

Thanks Cherry. The blogpost is easy to change and has now been amended to “Because of the way so many of us men love beautiful women who appear to be free.”
She wasn’t a classic beauty but we have a word in Australia “hornbag” (which is sometimes complimentary and sometimes not) that perhaps places her where she will always be in many male minds unless genders actually do change the way some woke idiots pretend they are changing. I am sticking to beautiful cos thats what I see and feel in what I see.
and .....
YES YES YES
Let the fantasy continue.
Freedom works.
One of our family friends saw her in person. She just looked fat to him.
More like the CIA murdered her because they were already planning on knocking JFK off at some point before he could be re-elected, and they decided to get her out of the way beforehand. It always seemed kind of odd that she died a little over a year before they murdered JFK.
Here at our home, we love Marilyn. We have batted back and forth the idea that she, remarkably, was the most famous woman, worldwide, of the 20th century. We think Queen Elizabeth probably runs a distant second in that regard.
We have named 3 cars after her.
Honestly, why in the world does anyone care. A 1960s slut that couldn’t sing well and maybe had a something with a president. Who cares. Especially 60 years later. If I never hear that name again, I’d be okay.
Norma Jean Mortenson was a young woman who created a persona around her boobs and her voice and made one heck of a career out of it. Who knows whether the cia tapped in. I wouldn’t be surprised if she tried to use some of the pillow talk to begin securing a better future and that was a problem.
Also...true story...my Dad told me a story of sitting in the lobby of a hotel on Commonwealth Ave in Boston (where the upper class are found) and seeing Gloria Swanson walk through and get on the elevator and a few minutes later seeing old man Kennedy do the same thing.
With that kind of upbringing it's not surprising that the sons (with the possible exception of Joe Jr) sexual degenerates as well.
How much less?
***In May 1962, Marilyn Monroe sang her legendary breathy version of “Happy Birthday, Mr President” to JFK***
I remember seeing that on TV! And her death later in The Tulsa World.
I was 15 years of age.
JFK’s actual birthday was May 29 - which is the 149th day of the year, leaving 216 days.
She was a stunning, extraordinarily sexy woman… and she allowed herself to be used and abused by Hollywood and the wrong people.
She belongs to the ages now.
“candle in the Wind”…. Indeed.
