It’s a very dark time in America
Flopping Aces ^ | 07-28-23 | DrJohn

It's a very dark time in America. We're going to learn quickly if there is any hope for us. We're going to find out whether Merrick Garland, and consequently his DOJ, has a least shred of integrity left.

The Diversion Plea written for Hunter Biden wasn't a real document. It wasn't a plea. He could not plead to things for which he had not been charged. He had not been charged with anything. That means the thing presented in court yesterday was a joke, but it has a provision that would protect Hunter (and thus Joe) from any past or future criminal charges. This is big. It's biggest scam ever perpetrated by anyone in government. It's depth of depravity reflects the evil it's hiding.

At every step of the way the DOJ has acted as Biden's personal defense firm. Elite IRS teams were removed from cases. AUSA's actively blocked investigations. As we pointed out before, David Weiss, who buried the laptop in 2020, allowed the worst of the Hunter Biden felony tax evasion cases' statute of limitations to expire. The statute of limitations on the Hunter Biden gun violation will be expiring in October.

There is a short list of people who have the juice to approve something as audacious as was seen yesterday. Merrick Garland is the Attorney General.  Lisa Monaco is the DAG. Monte Wilkinson heads up the Office of Enforcement Operations. That is the office to which the AUSA's report. It is likely that Weiss brought the "plea" to Wilkinson and Monaco. We do not know if Garland was informed of the plea or not.

Here's what has to happen.

The real question is whether we can still have fair elections. If not, we’re finished. And it’s not looking good.

I wish both hunter and trumps trials were this week. Get them over with and let’s get on with life. Let the chip happen where they fall. Yes I’m aware trump has 4 trials. Let’s get them all done by end of September. Hearing about every aspect of them day in and day out will end up making people not care one way or the other.

Better believe Joe Biden orchestrated the entire “save my boy” episode.

It’s Shocking the depths to which Joe Biden would stoop to keep Hunter out of the hands of the law.

.......actually impersonating a staff member of Congress to get ahold of the damaging Amicus brief of IRS whistleblower testimony filed by Comer’s people........

That move was so diabolical it HAD to have come out of the gross corrupt mind of Joe Biden himself.

We need to have that further investigated......then throw the bum out of office.

Sailed, that boat has.

Sailed, sank and eaten by crabs. Not salvageable.

Legal Experts Point To Another Fishy Aspect Of Hunter Biden’s Proposed Plea Deal that the “statement of facts” included in Hunter Biden’s proposed plea deal favored the defense, since due to the Biden-controlled DOJ terms, it would have immunized Hunter from prosecution for a number of offenses.

The “statement of facts” points out that Hunter Biden “continued to earn money and exercise control over his personal and corporate finances” even during the 2017-2018 period where his substance abuse worsened and he failed to pay taxes.

“Certainly a significant portion of the Statement of Facts is defense-oriented,” attorney Sol Wisenberg tweeted. “This is not normal.”

Lawyer and former federal prosecutor Bill Shipley said on Twitter that he thinks there is “no way the prosecutors wrote the Statement of Facts.”

“That was written by defense counsel (more likely the WH) because there is a purpose behind it, and it’s written in a style that I have NEVER seen come from a prosecutor,” he said. “It is not something I would have ever written in a million years.”

This author like, apparently, too many others doesn’t grasp the immensity of the opposition we face. Our enemy is the great dragon and his angels, not the fleshly weakling, Merrick Garland. If you do not know your enemy, how can you war against him?

Here’s what has to happen:

FTA——As many charges as even imaginable must be filed against Hunter Biden and right away, to keep the SOL from expiring. But who will file them? Garland, Monaco Wilkinson and Weiss must appear before House committees to answer question and explain their actions. Like yesterday.

But here’s the rub- what if they refuse? Where do you go?

Biden has no respect for the Supreme Court. His efforts to destroy free speech through collusion with social media has been exposed.

Or Garland can just assert that justice is being pursued and squash the case by letting it die on the vine. Is there even a single honest person in the DOJ?

We are soon to find out, because all roads lead to Joe Biden.

“Sailed, that boat has.”

Yep. The public is dancing to the tune the media plays on the main deck while the ship is rapidly sinking.

EDITED EXCERPT-——The astute Judge Maryellen Noreika smelled a rat. She understood that the lawyers were trying to paint her into a corner and hide the ball.

Instead, she backed DoJ and Hunter’s lawyers into a corner by pulling all the details out into the open and then indicating that she wasn’t going to approve a deal as broad as what she had discovered.

Norieka grilled Delaware AUSA Leo Wise over the strange way they had arranged their deal.‘We looked through a bunch of diversion agreements that we have access to and we couldn’t find anything that had anything similar to that,’ she said, according to a transcript.

‘Have you ever seen a diversion agreement where the agreement not to prosecute is so broad that it encompasses crimes in a different case?’

‘No,’ Wise admitted, then tried to follow up, but was cut off by the judge, and told to ‘sit down’.

Noreika scolded both sides for trying to get her to ‘rubber stamp’ the plea agreement without considering the blanket immunity awarded to Hunter in a separate document.

‘You seem to be asking for the inclusion of the Court in this agreement, yet you’re telling me that I don’t have any role in it,’ she chided. ‘You’re leaving provisions of the plea agreement out and putting them into an agreement that you are not asking me to sign off on.’

The Delaware prosecutor was later put on the spot by Judge Noreika and forced to reveal that the DoJ’s investigation was ‘ongoing’ and that Hunter could be susceptible to illegal lobbying charges.

Scharf claimed Delaware’s Wise only did so in an attempt to save face after the overly generous back-door clause in their deal with Hunter was exposed.

But when Hunter’s hotshot attorney Abbe Lowell heard the Biden Justice Department lawyer hint at potential further charges under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), he leapt up with a face like thunder and started angrily conferring with his team.

‘Hunter’s lawyers exploded,’ Scharf said. ‘They clearly believed that FARA was covered under the deal, because as written, the pretrial diversion agreement language was broad enough to cover it.

With the previous deal in tatters, the First Son pleaded not guilty, and the judge gave both sides 30 days to hash out an acceptable agreement.

On leaving the courtroom, Hunter appeared shell-shocked. What was meant to be a 20-minute, perfunctory hearing that put his criminal troubles behind him turned into a devastating setback for the President’s son that will stretch his case into fall.

Other former prosecutors were left unimpressed by Delaware’s handling of the case.‘The fact they didn’t cover this ahead of time is really sloppy on the prosecution’s part,’ former Washington DC Assistant US Attorney Shanlon Wu told CNN on Wednesday as the hearing unfolded.

‘For Biden’s team if it’s ambiguous it’s good for them. But the fact that the judge is pointing it out now, that’s on the prosecution. They should have taken care of this a long time ago.’

‘The fact that the parties did not have that written out and completely on the same page and a full understanding on that and went into court today, is a failure by both sides here,’ said ex New York prosecutor Elie Hoenig. ‘That is inexplicable to me.’
