Speaking in South Carolina today, presidential candidate Ron DeSantis blamed President Trump for the events of January 6, 2021, in Washington DC saying, “I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on. Should he have come out more forcefully? Of course.” However, DeSantis affirmed he does not believe Trump’s transgressions amounted to criminal conduct. “But to try to criminalize that, that’s a different issue entirely,” the Florida governor noted.
Governor DeSantis then tacked to his preferred position that politicians should not be criminally targeted and promised if he was elected, he would do a more reach-across-the-decorum, saying “I think that we want to be in a situation where you don’t have one side just constantly trying to put the other side in jail.”
DeSantis pledging to return civility to the Dept of Justice comes on the same day the DOJ is about to deploy yet another indictment against the political opposition of the current administration. I’m not sure the civility DeSantis requires would be afforded by the institutions DeSantis supports. WATCH:

I think most everyone on FR agrees with you, the only question is how to deal with the situation.
It’s a losing proposition to continue to say the 2020 election was stolen, it was but it’s not going to get you anywhere.
The courts have shot down every single challenge of the 2020 and 2022 election, the courts are simply not going to address the issue.
I’ve repeated on multiple posts 4-5 things the Republicans could be doing to deal with the Democratic cheating, usually I get hatred in return from Freepers who think I’m not sufficiently outraged.
Being outraged doesn’t win elections, the majority of voters don’t care about 2020 especially when they are unemployed and can’t buy gas.
You have to WIN elections going forward to do anything about what happened in 2020, you can’t do that constantly talking about stolen elections.
Richard Nixon lost to JFK in 1960 under allegations of Illinois being stolen costing him the election, Nixon conceded quickly and moved ahead and came back and won in 1968 and again in 1972, Republicans won again in 1980, 1984, and 1988. 5 of 6 Presidential elections, the same thing can happen again but running on a platform of stolen elections is a losing proposition.
