The Justice Department on Tuesday reversed course and said Trump can be held personally liable in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation lawsuit.
This is a reversal from the DOJ’s position that Trump was protected by the Westfall Act because he was president when he made the statements about E. Jean Carroll.
In 2019, E. Jean Carroll alleged Donald Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s.
Trump has denied the allegations and called E. Jean Carroll a “whack job” who’s “not my type.”

If he can get a decent venue (i.e., NOT New York), he should welcome this lawsuit. Unfortunately, our nation is that broken.

She was in a department store, but she didn't scream for help, and she didn't alert security or call the police afterwards. She can't even remember the year the event took place.
She should be held in contempt of court for bringing such a frivolous lawsuit, and her attorney should be disbarred for taking on such a case. But we live in a Bizarro world.

Reminder...Clinton made a deal with the Justice department that he would never be tried for anything that happened while he was President. The deal was announced as he was leaving the Whitehouse for the last time.
