I say this utterly sincerely, truly believing him innocent:

She was in a department store, but she didn't scream for help, and she didn't alert security or call the police afterwards. She can't even remember the year the event took place.

Some time before she claimed it happened there was an episode of Law & Order SVU which featured a woman being raped in a fitting room at Bergdorf’s.And she has admitted to having seen that episode.

All dressing rooms in Bergdorf's are locked! No patron/shopper can get into one without a saleslady opening the door, with a key! And that saleswoman will NOT leave the room.

I shopped in Bergdorfs in the 1990’s and I tried on clothes in their dressing rooms. No rape happened at Bergdorfs.
