After some really spooky events yesterday morning concerning the upload and posting of my J6 Pipe Bomber video, things shifted gear dramatically for the better for me that evening. In this video, you can see yet another example of my wife being blessed again by Lady Luck at the casino. As typically happens, she was down to almost nothing but then suddenly the winds of fortune suddenly reversed. This happens so frequently that it is eerie (but I'm not complaining).
FYI. Your name comes up several times in the video.
PING!
Once the machines went electronic, I was done with them, given how easy it is for insiders to rig them. And yes, I’m aware, towards the end, even the ‘mechanical’ machines were chip-controlled regarding their outcomes.
The payout percentages can be set. Here in the States they are mostly set at about 93% and I believe that is by law. Other countries have different payout settings. In Colombia it is really LOUSY. I was at a casino (and they are really crappy, as in industrial park crappy) and the settings are about 60%. So basically you feed your money in the slots with NOTHING coming back except rarely. Its like they don't want to give you a bit of enticement. Plus the casino I was in had NO fun atmosphere at all. When I asked for some water, they gave me a glass and told me I could get it out of the sink in the bathroom.
“Water? Like out of a toilet?”
I really ought to go to casinos more often. After all, someone went to the trouble and expense of building those places for the purpose of distributing lots of money to the general public, so why shouldn’t I get my share?
Probably. I didn't even think of getting that water. In fact, in South America it is not a good idea to drink any water out of a faucet. I thought maybe they had bottled water like they give you FREE at the Casinos here but no such luck.
Whoa! No kidding? I was a contractor support engineer for them in 97.
Were you independent? I forgot the name of my company I represented. They were in New Hampshire.
Mafia owned. I got out asap.
BTW, the slot machines in Colombia were about 10 years out of date. I think what happens is that when the machines in the States are replaced due to becoming obsolete, they sell them to other countries such as Colombia at a discount. I definitely did not see any current machines available in the States down there. Only old stuff.

Corleone & Sons Slots?
Wonder why people never talk about the times they lose?
Because when you lose big it is VERY painful but when we lose it is just around 20 bucks so not a big deal. However, what is AMAZING is the frequency in which my wife (or me a couple of weeks ago) will lose most of that 20 bucks but then pulls out a nice win. My wife has been doing that with very eerie frequency. In fact, I think she hasn't lost the full $20 since we were on our Caribbean cruise back in February and in that case it went up and down so much that the $20 remained in play for over 2 hours until losing it all. A loss but, hey, it did give us great entertainment value.
“$20 remained in play for over 2 hours until losing it all”
$20 usually doesn’t get me thru 1 little tiny drink.
About 2 years ago nephew of my wife was at an Indian casino near Seattle. Won $7k plus on a slot, so while waiting for the attendant with the IRS form he starting playing the slot next to him won $3K plus before the attendant got there.
Thankfully I don’t gamble much. I’d spend $200 to win $20 so I just watch if I’m around casinos!!
I have a feeling that at some point you and I may have crossed paths.
But I love working the navy guys.
Happened in a tent. The big building will open next year -
New Danville casino generates over $11M in revenue in May
