There were 53 shootings in Chicago over Memorial Day weekend, including 11 fatalities.
It appears the governor’s plan to deploy yellow-vested ‘peacekeepers’ to deter violence and crime didn’t work out too well.

The county executive and police chief in Prince George county, a predominantly black DC suburb, are starting to get the picture. They said “we cannot arrest our way out of this problem, we need the families. Where are the families?”

This mayor has only been in office for 2 weeks and these murders were caused by community disinvestment and poverty and both of these are brand new to the Chicago area. Right? “Poverty”
Poverty is much more extreme in Mumbai. How does the level of violence compare to Chicago?
Which party has been in charge of the governance of that city for the past 100 years? Is the mayor saying the democrats are guilty of systemic racism and have worked to “keep the black man down”? Any community disinvestment, poverty, and trauma suffered by the residents of Chicago is due to the democrat’s actions.
Millions and millions of tax-payer dollars have been spent over the past few decades to solve the problems. Most of that money goes into the pockets of the politicians and the remainder goes into the pockets of their friends and relatives. And, the criminal behavior by all is just excused and blame cast on those that had nothing to do with it.
This is the result of not incentivizing self sufficiency and punishing criminals. No one wants to work because they can collect checks for literally doing nothing. The criminals are the victims in Chicago. SO they have no fear.
So, the solution is investment, and the prosperity it brings....or “give us more money.”
