Advisers to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday recommended, by a vote of 10 to 4, that the agency approve Pfizer’s respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine for pregnant women, despite questions about the vaccine’s safety.
During Thursday’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) meeting, committee members and medical experts raised concerns about premature births identified during Pfizer’s clinical trials.
The FDA is expected to issue a final decision on the vaccine in August. If approved, it would become the first RSV vaccine authorized for pregnant women.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) must “sign off” on Pfizer’s vaccine for pregnant women prior to it becoming available to the public.

The FDA is made up of former pharmaceutical company execs, at least in part.
My very smart MD didn’t think I needed a vax because I’m very healthy., take the right supplements to build immune system. . He and his nurse laughed out loud the day I walked in and told them that the CEO of Pfizer had covid.
BTW, my MD is from Nigeria, didn’t go to med school where they are funded by Big Pharma. They are, you know. , at least in part.
I know a lot of people and the only two who caught covid were women forced to take shots and boosters to keep their jobs. One caught it twice.
Hanging would have been to kind. Russia is not known for being kind when dispensing punishment.
I would never take a vaccine while pregnant but having nearly lost my youngest to RSV, I would vaccinate while planning and preparing to become pregnant.
Never in my life have I seen vaccines pushed like they are now. Most aren’t even what we know as vaccines that they have coming down the pike.
