Elon Musk has hired former NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino as the next Twitter CEO.
"I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter," Musk, the current Twitter CEO, tweeted Friday. "@LindaYacc will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology. Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app." Yaccarino's appointment comes as the platform has been in turmoil, with mass resignations and some companies pausing advertising, since the Musk acquisition in October.
She previously spent 11 years with NBCUniversal where she most recently had been chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCU. She resigned from the role earlier Friday morning.
"It has been an absolute honor to be part of Comcast NBCUniversal and lead the most incredible team," Yaccarino said in a statement. "We’ve transformed our company and the entire industry."

Well, I’ll wait and see. Musk has had a better run at picking people than President Trump.
Faggot Jack Dorsey recently said that Elon Musk wasn’t the right person to be running Twitter. I wonder how he feels about Yaccarino. I’m betting he supports her appointment 100%.

I saw Elon on the Bill Mahr show.
He said he aspires to be the country’s champion of Free Speech.
If this is true, I don’t care who he hires to run the day-to-day business. Censorship will be forbidden.
I have no doubt Musk laid out some pretty heavy ground rules for Ms. Yaccarino, and I also have no doubt he’ll fire her in a heartbeat if she doesn’t follow them to the letter.
That covers my thoughts....
He yells about the ‘woke mind virus’ all the time, in fact I think he was the first I heard use the term, then he hires this classic case of the disease... tell me how that makes sense?

Agreed, he didn’t spend almost 50 billion just to let twitter go back to what it was.
Perhaps she was the deep-state compromise candidate, and the price Musk has to pay to not be attacked by various enforcement and regulatory branches of Fed.gov and deep-state
Social-media now being the means of control and manipulation at home (2020 election anyone?) and color-revolution abroad, those who believes the 1st Amendment and free-market rule are living in a fool’s paradise.
Maybe I am too cynical, I hope I am wrong, but nothing surprises me any longer......
