At the same time, immigration patterns prove that large numbers of wonderful, decent people of all races, ethnicities, and religions would rather live in the United States than in any other country on earth.

Based on these two pieces of information, I propose the following hypothesis: Every country in the world is racist, and out of all of these racist countries, the U.S. is the least racist out of all of them.

There are ‘racist’ individuals and ‘racist’ behavior in every country. (Individuals in Japan, North Africa, and the US can be quite racist. On FR, every day, there are statements that many consider quite ‘racist’.)

That doesn’t mean that the countries themselves are generally ‘racist’.

Perhaps they owe us restitution for their freedom and for making their lives better than they would have been in Africa?

Maybe the folks in Africa owe us for putting an end to their vile slave trade too...

The point of my post was that Black men were going to war and possibly to die for the US, while they couldn’t drink from the same water fountain as white people or even vote in many places back home.

I lived in the Jim Crow South and remember the 'separate but equal drinking fountains' ( and schools - where black kids got the books white schools were dumping).. and the white democrats who keep that horror going for decades.

Democrats were bullies then - and they're bullies now. New choice of victims doesn't change their evil.
